Lifehack: there is a way to trick your brain and bring back the feeling, when you started playing that game (or film, or book, literally anything) for the very first time (the exploration, the curiosity, that particular plottwidt that shocked you, etc). Just pick a new specific perfume you like before starting a game. If it is some old one, try to remember what products you used when you first launched it.

When hear that scent again while replaying the game, this feeling will be back

Skyrim:

The emperor found you on the side of the road and decided you could solve a succession/ghost crisis.

Arena:

You’re a servant in the imperial city and the emperor has been kidnapped, you have to save him, also he’s being impersonated by an evil wizard
