Long emails and dense, difficult to decipher memos mean modern office communication goes ignored more often than itâs understood.
Currently looking for advice on writing, thought this was a useful summary. Personally, I just stoped at the first one!
Write less often
Use fewer words
Put action words in your subject line
Listen more, âtalkâ less
Donât answer, ask
Invert the order; lead with the need
Write a people-proof TL;DR
Donât make it about you, or âthemâ

When done right, the product roadmap reduces uncertainty about the future and keeps product teams focused on the highest priority product initiatives. But how to build it effectively?
Road mapping...
Product management is one of the hardest jobs to define in any organization, partially because itâs different in every company. Iâve had several recent conversations about âwhat is a productâŚ
Seen this before? One of the original thoughts that has been built upon.

What does the journey to product team look like?
Came accross this infographic during some training and I really like the idea of a journey towards team autonomy. @johncutlefish is it really a product thing?Anyway heâs running some webinars amplitude.com/webinars/lab-hâŚÂ to explain more - sign up!Â
We believe most brands are missing out on the huge opportunities â¨of the 45-65 market. We call this group "Mid-Age". They're responsible for the biggest spending but are ignored by most marketers. We're here to change that.
spoof or truth?
Folks who are new in tech, when faced with real-world business constraints, always try to reach for âagileâ as a silver bullet.
As a follow up to agile fatigue, I came accross this post from @astralwave
Completely sums up the tension that (bigger) businesses often face when updating/refreshing/transforming their approach to creating value.
I love the question...
How fast can I change course in response to new information that contradicts my prior beliefs?Â
Itâs all about people and change...

Completely agree with this approach. Also people buy people not business cases, so donât procrastinate, put your idea infront of investors early, get feedback and respond.

This article goes into detail how anti-patterns can evolve and possibly create other issues for the Scrum Team.
Sprint Anti-patterns of the Product Owner
Absent PO
PO clinging to tasks
Inflexible PO
Delaying PO
Misuse of Sprint cancellation
No Sprint cancellation
Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.

At Across, we wanted to see how many other technology companies and service providers we use on a regular basis. The answer was way more than we thought. For a seed stage 2 person startup, we already use 28 different tools regularly totaling $227 / month
Business tooling is becoming a problem. As technology hardware has become cosumer led, software is also heading in the same direction. Â
Large businesses are constantly fighting the pseudo startup mentality (someone has used xx before at xx) - I know because I am part of this problem.
Underneath is difficulty in recognising that most problems nowadays have a solution and helping colleagues frame their âdesire for xx service/software/platfomâ as a need to solve a particular business problem can help.
What tools do you use?
And the stories I tell about them
Super GREAT, pretty, simple, article that elegantly cuts to the chase. Loving the illustration @mvwi
