So someone vying to win their partyās primary is āsplitting the voteā?Ā Unless they drop out and run Independent, thatās not the case - thatās just not how primaries work.Ā If that were the case, why wouldnāt you accuse Yang or Steyer or any of the other non-frontrunners of splitting the vote?Ā Hell, even someone running Independent or third-party isnāt necessarily splitting the vote, since people voting for them might not have necessarily voted for either of the major party candidates anyways.Ā
That being said, I just googled Gabbard and learned that she voted against Trumpās impeachment, and Iām actually a bit shocked, given how much sheās spoken out against him in the past.Ā Thereās a reason Iām not planning on voting for her, and itās that she often fails to exhibit as much courage in her actions as she does in her words - in this case, sheās happy to blast Trump over policy disagreements, but is the only democrat to not do something about the guy when it counts, so at this point, Iām done defending Tulsi.Ā
