Taking the Train. 🚆
It's October and the sun is shining (yes that does occur) unfortunately I'm battling a nasty cold; I'm not good at smiling in selfies when I'm on my own even when I'm feeling great, (I think I have a resting BA£$%RD face 😆) and this cold is really not helping, it's not really worth smiling about! I devoured a whole packet of strepsils today as I covered Janet and Dave's special wedding celebration at Key West on Bournemouth Pier and I'm most looking forward to a Lemsip when I get home (with at least one alcoholic beverage 🥃🥃🥃). I do love taking the train, it's probably not fashionable but I do enjoy allowing someone else to transport me to my destination, and I can chill, listen to some tunes, and I can write my blog, which I have abandoned for a week or two. In my defence I have not been feeling fabulous, I've had to have a small procedure in hospital and this week I have managed to catch this infernal cold, which even though is only 3 days old can now do one! I have made a conscious decision to actively use public transport, that does include the odd bus, as I enjoy walking it's not really a chore to stroll to the bus stop or train station and like I say I can let someone else worry about getting me to where I need or want to go. It also does help reduce my carbon footprint, yes I know in the great scheme of things isn't going to really do anything but it makes me happier to know I've done a little bit. I do have to be conscious about how much gear I take with me when I'm using the train, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, most of the time I only use 3 lenses, I do now take 3 cameras with me and today one of my cameras developed a slight glitch (nothing too serious I think but it will need a service) so as I have 3 I could cope.
I do hope to be feeling better tomorrow as Weymouth has been invaded by Pirates and it would be great to grab photos.
Chow for now.
