Mohammed is a young man who left everything in Gaza behind to rebuild his life abroad. He's currently studying medicine at a Qatar university.
He needs to pay his registration fees of €3,000 for the semester by the hard, final deadline of Sep 6.
To be cautious, I've set the deadline to 12am in Qatar, which is 74 hours from when I'm writing this post.
The school has already offered him multiple extensions and this is the last they're willing to give.
If Mohammed fails to reach this goal, he'll lose his academic opportunities and be deported back to Gaza (which he worked hard to escape and is very dangerous right now).

I was born in Gaza and live there. I worked in the field of sanitary supplies. With a lot of sadness, pain and sorrow, today on behalf of my grieving family My family consists of my father, Raed, who is 47 years old, my mother, Amani, who is 39 years old, and me along with my five siblings: my sister Rasha, who is 22 years old and married; my sister Rana, who is 21 years old and married; myself, Monir; my brother Mohamed, who is 16 years old; and my little sister Sham, who is 4 years old. Now, my entire family has become displaced after our house was destroyed, fleeing from bombings and death. Every day, we suffer more.
We are living in a school that has been turned into a shelter, housing many displaced people. Our lives have been upended multiple times due to the enemy's relentless bombings and destruction, forcing us to flee from death. My married sisters and their young children are with us in this dire situation, enduring severe shortages of food, water, and medicine, and we have received no assistance.
My mother, She's suffers from severe asthma and has undergone multiple surgeries with no improvement, depends on medication, inhalers, and oxygen for her chronic conditions. The ongoing conflict in Gaza has depleted the supply of these critical medications, causing her condition to worsen. As if that weren’t enough, diseases are spreading among us due to the accumulated garbage, as there are no waste disposal systems and trash is piling up in the streets where we live.
Our situation is heart-wrenching and desperate.
We are engulfed in suffering and despair.

Just yesterday an Israeli strike killed 8 Palestinians who were waiting outside the UNRWA agency for bread. These were people who were already displaced—who lost their homes, who were grieving the death of loved ones, who have been starving for months on end since Israel completely cut aid in February—and their last moments were waiting in line for bread before an Israeli strike killed them then and there
What’s even more devastating about this is that Jabalia camp has been on the receiving end of an intense volley of Israeli air strikes, since it’s located by an aid distribution center and the iof loves to target those. They knew the risk, they weighed the odds of going to the agency for food, and to them the risk of dying was worth the possibility of feeding their starving families. Now they’ve been killed. Now there are fathers and brothers and sons and mothers and daughters and sisters who will simply never come back
Asking you guys to please continue donating to and sharing Hazem’s fundraiser. Hazem’s family comprises his parents and their children—literal children who’re not even legally adults yet—who are literally located right in the heart of Jabalia camp, right where this is all happening. The difference between one moment and the next is worth its weight in life or death for this family, especially with how intense these airstrikes have been getting.
