I was trusted to take care of you. Yeah it was mostly a bullshit deal, but still. This wouldn't have happened. First the hostage thing, and now this?  We're going to find those fuckers who did this to you.

I've come to the conclusion

Oh god, I should've been there.

The moment she stepped foot into the building, Stella was introduced to the smell of booze, drugs, body heat and sweat. It was an all too familiar presence to the girl, and she immediately felt a sense of deja vu— as though she were reliving another summer night. Despite the reek, a smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she squeezed through the sea of people. “You don’t even know…” she replied to Parker’s remark. A part of Stella felt like telling him everything at that moment— just pouring it all out. The way she created a mask of lust behind her genuinely sweet demeanor, the way she partied without stopping, the way she slept around and turned into a complete mess. Possibly even the one incident that managed to throw her life downhill. For years now Stella has been fighting the urge to just tell someone, but it’s the wall she’s built herself that has kept it from happening. She didn’t completely trust the guy, nor did she know him all that well.

“I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a bad thing” Parker shrugged “I mean, ever since the whole hostage thing.” He chuckled to himself. Saying it out loud made it seem so surreal, it was a one in a million chance that happened to him. “I don’t know, the whole situation just got me off my normal flow of routine if you know what I mean and I think we could both use a good distraction” He babbled on before realizing that she probably wasn't there to be his therapist. He seemed to do that a lot. Rant to people he didn’t know too well about all the thoughts that were picking away at his sanity. Which made using all the more relevant. It wasn't just to make him feel euphoric but to transport him into an alternate universe where everything finally seemed normal, in a happy and exciting way.

Hey, it’s better than being a needy little bitch. Is it not? Unless you happen to be into that or whatever then more power to you. A routine? No, definitely not. Like I said, you don’t even have to do anything. Maybe just like… I don’t know text me once or twice and ask if I’m fine, I’ll say yes because obviously I will be and then bam, your work is done. I can’t believe you just said that. But if they ever happen to come out with a Fantasy Drug Dealer League, I’ll make sure to draft you both. How about that?

A little over a minute or so after ringing the doorbell, Parker had neglected to respond. Stella then began to question whether or not he was home, or if she even was at the right place for that matter. She then brought her hands to both of her arms, attempting the rub away the cold. The girl was wearing a dress, after all, and it was hardly fifty-five degrees out. Shutting her eyes in slight annoyance, she made a mental note to herself to bring a jacket for the next time someone takes too long to open the door. Eventually she heard a faint come in from inside, and scoffed in relief as she entered.

They arrived to the rave, every color you could imagine spurring from the lights and reflecting off of the walls. “What can I say, I guess it helps knowing a lot of rich people around the city” he said before passing the bouncer with a nudge.  One of the positives of being in the drug industry, you could party for free. As they made their way into the club Parker winced at the overwhelming smell of the party, BO, drugs, alcohol and probably a mix of some piss. This only heightened his need for getting gone but he had someone with him. “So how much are you into the whole party scene?” he asked, having to repeat a couple times because of how loud it was. The two were dancing, crowded by everyone else. Parker realized the only way he would be able to get his long sentences across to Stella was to get uncomfortably close. He tucked her hair behind her ear and moved his lips by her ear. “About earlier, I hope you don’t feel too weird about it, but I’m not going to say that that type of shit doesn’t happen on the norm for me.” He laughed before realizing dressed up she got for this “I forgot to tell you, you look nice tonight. The only reason I really do the whole clubbing thing is to get distracted from the real world.” Parker broke the conversation by looking around amongst the crowd. “Let’s go” he yelled.
