He loves the job, he’s an overachiever and seems to follow authority but also holds some frustrations (thinking to burn the place down) and with him gaslighting himself, it makes him so much more tragic.

He’s a man who works for a job that doesn’t care for its employees and yet he loves the place and adamantly defends the place. It makes sense since he had worked there for who knows how long. He’s probably a little desensitized to the dark side of Fazbear Entertainment.

Its also not that he doesn’t care (from what we pick up he cares a LOT) it’s just combined with working for them for so long and (imo) kind of having a Disassociation Disorder (which I could go into but that’s for another time) it makes so much sense why he’s the way he is (constantly stressed, making jokes often even in stressful situations, and probably has a lot of unaddressed psychological problems)

I sort of like how it's shown that Ralph is complex, morally grey. He's a good man at heart, and the only real reason he's sticking with freddy's durring his last week is to have a good word put out for him when he finds a other job. But when he dies, he's treated like those the company has covered up before. Just a victim. I sort of like how it also proposed the idea Ralph was given the task of nightshift because the company wanted to get rid of him as a loose end. A potential whistle blower.

I also wonder if they ever bothered to get rid of Ralph and Bronwen's bodies when Mike got the job. are they actually *gone* gone? Or are they simply hidden away in one of the closed off wings of the location?

(Dialogue is taken directly from The Week Before btw!)

- Generally kinda stupid (laughs at his own joke he thought of so loud he alerts Foxy, mixes household cleaning chemicals in a closet he locked himself in, hands his daughter a water gun to defend herself from Foxy... etc.)

- Had a terrible father (Mentions his father swearing at him in the context of doing things perfectly, mentions his father playing hide and seek with the intent of terrifying him to the point of tears for fun)

- Autism (Just look at him)

- Morally questionable; especially pertaining to his loyalty to Faz Ent. (though I believe he improves as a person throughout the book, he definitely has a hand in covering up things like the bite of 87.)

- A good father (Though he does have issues with being a workaholic, he noticeably values Coppelia more than anything, he always rushes home as soon as possible to get to her, his last thoughts are usually about Coppelia, he always finds little trinkets for her to show his love... I'd say his biggest flaw as a father is his obsession with his job. He isn't perfect, but he's good.)

- Kleptomania (he is constantly picking up little trinkets and things, which isn't my point, my point is he steals stuff he's clearly not supposed to take-- at one point he literally takes one of the animatronics, Mr. Cupcake, to his house. I understand picking up items moves the plot along and gives us more options, but DUDE. PUT THE CUPCAKE DOWN!!!)

- Absolute fucking YAPPER (this is something we all already knew from the first game, but this man LOVES to ramble to anyone who will listen, whether he sees them or not. I primarily cite the games, like Into The Pit where he leaves whole messages just talking about random stuff, and the games, of course, where his monologs meander into other topics-- but in TWB when he talks to Dave he can't seem to keep himself from chatting a little. He just loves to talk!)

- Silly (Constantly thinking up silly jokes, reciting little catchphrases, playing with objects he finds like the water gun, trying to lighten the mood for his coworkers, and more.)

I've brought you a cart with pathos. I dig up some doodles that I forgot to add text to. My soul longed to do something. I needed to clear my mind and I just wanted to use the text and a pinch of the color for this.
