unnamed romcom without the romance. there will be no romance — a Bloodborne AU that takes place earlier in the timeline of the general hunt. Teagan gets forcibly dragged back to Orilon and their mother tries to marry them off. Maria’s cousin goes “yeah sure I’ll get fake engaged to you :)” and they go from having attempted to kill each other to grudging friends. he makes heart eyes at his actual partner in the background a lot. i do not have anything actually written down for this but its fun and I’m enjoying it
Dragonborn — skyrim fic. Jeven, my Dragonborn, returns to Skyrim to figure out the deal with her weird dreams and gets more than she bargained for with dragons. feat. Sheogorath making comments in the back of her head, Jeven stealing cheesewheels and forks, Jeven adopting almost every child she comes across, avoiding going to High Hrothgar for months, mod quests + locations, Jeven being gay for Lydia, dragons who refuse to shut up in Jeven’s head
Dragonborn time travel — because of Reasons™ Jeven, Miraak and Alduin get thrown into the past to before Torygg’s death. Alduin is extremely upset about this as he is now a small mortal and helpless child because of Reasons™. Miraak is trying to seduce Jeven’s brother. she is very horrified by this

Anyway this disability pride month I would like to shoutout disabled folks whose creativity has suffered because of their condition. I’m talking people with hand tremors and pain that stop them from drawing, knitting, and playing instruments. People whose thinking has become so disorganized that nothing they write makes sense to other people. People with chronic pain who can no longer dance. People so over medicated in a fruitless attempt to maintain stability that the wells of their imagination have run dry.
I see you and I love you. You are more than your creative output. You are not a shell of what you used to be. You are a whole, complete person, regardless of what your creativity has been, is now, or will be in the future.
so one of the largest open source data communities on the internet, data.world, got bought out by a company called ServiceNow, who has decided to fucking delete all of it by July 11th. they've given users barely any notice, no emails, just a fucking banner at the top and a blog post from June that gives barely a month to download your data before they fucking delete it all.
a bunch of archives of incredibly important government datasets like maternal mortality statistics are about to be deleted forever. in a regime where they're known to fudge numbers, we can't trust a lot of the data coming from them to not be altered. open source backups like those found on data.world are vital to being able to verify that the data coming from our government is still intact and not altered. and they're about to delete all of it.
i don't know if we need to start a petition or what. nobody seems to fucking care. there are millions of users on data.world and yet nobody is raising the alarm bells and it makes me feel like I'm going insane. somebody needs to do something. i don't know what to do. it feels like more and more of this world is being destroyed and dismantled. it's not only US centric data, either! it's all sorts of countries from around the world! and they're about to fucking delete everything.
the only things that won't be deleted are private companies who happen to use the paid version of their platform (which isn't accessible data to the open source community; some people have just been using their service to host their own data on privately)
and the kicker? this announcement was made... via an AI generated blog post. so not even any sort of human touch. just a generic, soulless announcement made by a soulless human about to take a wrecking ball to one of the more important websites that exists on the internet.

i may genuinely have a special interest in spreadsheets.
i started a spreadsheet tracking what Avery & Derek & Hastur call each other and how many times they do in fics (specifically the ones i have saved on my phone). also how many times they swear and counts for different swears. i haven't done all the fics yet, only 16 out of 90 right now. and i originally had it in a phone note but i didn't keep those stats except for names. so far:
Avery has the most nicknames for Derek at 36 (including just Derek & Derlord/d3rlord3) at 142 uses
Derek, however, uses nicknames more than Avery at 221 and 17 nicknames
i've only done 2 fics with Hastur and those were both with Derek only, so his stats are very sparse. he has 15 names for Derek at 16 uses
cursing wise:
Avery is at 72, with his most used swear being fuck and its variants at 59
Derek is at 74, with his most used at fuck and its variants at 57
Hastur has no swears so far, and i don't think he will have many, if any at all.
im also only tracking uses in dialogue, so that's cutting down on the numbers but eh
the spreadsheet now has 218 columns, including 32..... separator columns + info columns (like ". Avery about Der ->" and literally just periods and spaces in different configs to separate sections)
