As of today, you can buy stuff – posters, T-shirts and postcard art – inspired by my books Eleanor & Park and Fangirl on DFTBA.com.
I’ve been looking for a way to let fan artists share and sell their work in a manner that also makes sense for me, as the author – and I’m so happy this worked out with DFTBA.
The people at DFTBA really have their act together: They’re organized, they care about quality, and they really respect artists and creators.
We tried to choose artwork that’s most popular with readers. The large-format postcards are kind of an experiment: The goal was to make smaller, more affordable prints, and to include more artists. So far, the DFTBA store features some of my all-time favorite pieces, with work by:
Lauren Baldo, Simini Blocker, Valeria Bogado, Irena Freitas, Kady MacFarlane, Andrea Porretta, Mina Price, Risa Rodil and Leela Wagner
I think I’m most excited to share Simini Blocker’s digital painting of Eleanor and Park kissing. (I wish there was a way to put a GIF on a poster.)
Oh, and I love everything Risa Rodil does. Risa designed the “She looked like art” poster exclusively for DFTBA.
I hope you find something you like! And if you have ideas for different merch you’d like to see, send me a note on Twitter.
