Spin the wheel. Now, imagine you're on a first date with someone who says they`re a [result]. How does this affect the odds of a second date?

Β tbh i fully believe that healthy kids should be getting in some stupid trouble.
like, a child thatβs in trouble all the time, frequently skipping school, getting caught doing crimes? thatβs a kid that desperately needs literally any positive attention. that kid needs help. obviously.
but a child that is perfectly well-behaved, never speaks up for themself, is seen and not heard? thatβs a child thatβs afraid. they also need help.
the most annoying people are people who don't understand storytelling. they be like "oooo how convenient that this thing happened to the main character in the very beginning". yeah no shit. that's why the story begins here
this lifetime is very bizarre and then youre not even supposed to also be bizarre. Ok

βbeyond the scope of this paperβ is a dear friend to me. I Am Not Fucking Talking About That
βYou write the beginning and then you go back and rewrite the beginning, and you never got off page one. Itβs kind of a syndrome, and I have a rash piece of advice which is β Go on, page two, page three, and never look back. Get something finished, no matter how lousy it is. [β¦] Perfectionists cannot get going unless they kind of do violence to their own instincts, and just blast ahead.β
β Ursula K. Le Guin, The Last Interview and Other Conversations
the thing so many people don't understand is that the reason wikipedia is generally not accepted as a source has nothing to do with accuracy. wikipedia is (generally) extremely accurate! the reason wikipedia isn't allowed as a source for school is because it's a summary of other sources. wikipedia has correct information, but it gets that information from OTHER places, which are either primary or secondary sources, which lends them credibility that wikipedia technically lacks.
so yes, wikipedia is a GREAT resource to learn new things! but if you want in depth, specific, and creditable sources, don't use wikipedia! use wikipedia's cited sources!!
out of curiosity, how many books have you read this year

When somebody shares a quote by a famous author like it's something the author personally said and believed, but you know it was actually spoken by a character you're not supposed to like... π
one time I saw on Pinterest a cutesy little pink flowery image with the quote ββas soon as I entered the house, I had singled you out as the companion of my future lifeβ -Pride and Prejudiceβ and like
ladies that is a mr collins quote π
My favorite example of this (not quite a character but a commonly misinterpreted quote) is Mary Oliverβs quote:
βHe is exactly the poem I wanted to write.β
Often quoted as if itβs romantic. But hereβs the thing
It was written by a lesbian. About a heron. She was writing about a large wading bird.
"everyone should get more aromantic" can appeal to tumblr's sensibilities but I genuinely think everyone should also get more asexual. I don't mean everyone stop having sex, what I mean is
Sex is not essential. You can live without it. Full stop.
Not having sex isn't shameful or a sign of failure. It also doesn't make anyone boring.
You are not entitled to having sex with anybody and nobody is entitled to having sex with you.
Sex is not what makes someone an adult.
Nobody's worth is defined by how much sex they have or don't have.
Sex is not equally important to everyone.
You can have fulfilling and happy relationships without sex.
You should only have sex on your own terms, not because you feel like you owe it to someone, or because you feel like you'd be incomplete without it.
Know your boundaries around sex and be firm about them. Know how to respect other people's boundaries.
The previous point also applies when it comes to discussing sex. If someone doesn't wanna talk about it or hear about it you have to back down.
Anything can be sexual but not everything has to be sexual.
Curious what is actually normal for bed time. Go for your normal/average time, not your most extreme or what you wish it was.
what time do you go to bed? (local time)
7pm or before

I just don't know what grownups do for bedtime and I want to know!!!
honestly bring back slow publishing and let authors release a book once a year MAX
Name as many Shakespeare plays as you can. Feel free to write them down and check your answers but not to cheat. How many can you name?

Blossoming Almond Branch in a Glass with a Book (1888) by Vincent van Gogh
i think every publisher should have to institute a ban on books that fail what iβm calling the βlittle lifeβ and βwhat else?β tests
for reference.
