In Islamic State's message claiming responsibility for the attacks in Paris, France, they called the French city "the capital of prostitution and obscenity". Meanwhile, ISIS has turned Raqqa, Syria—their stronghold—into the capital of sex slavery and snuff films. They have no room to make moral judgements.

Well it may surprise you to hear that I think my stance on that issue is wholly level-headed and requires only a bare minimum of observation. The rebels in Syria are terrorists, I have no idea how that's not an obvious fact to the majority of people. This conflict is merely a magnification of what's already been going on in Iraq for a decade now: sectarian violence by Sunnis against Shia influence in the post-mujahideen era. The guy put in charge of Iraq since Saddam Hussein was deposed is a Shiite Muslim, and since him, there have been DAILY attacks in the country, usually against government targets. And then comes this war in Syria, a good, fairly modernized Arab country, just because the rebels say Assad, the president of the country (who just so happens to be Shiite by the way), has been in power for too long? (Technically he was president for slightly more than ten years at the time, which doesn't sound all that ridiculous.) The rebels failed to make any specific complaints about Assad's administration; they didn't ask for change, they just want him out of power. Riots happened, the question of who started what was blurred, and then there's a full-out war between the country's government and the "protesters" who now all of the sudden have military grade weapons. Hmm, odd that they get to be called "protesters" while their counterparts in Iraq and Afghanistan are called something completely different. Meanwhile, since the war started, there have been Turkish and Iraqi militants moving into Syria. Now you'd think this would be a problem, but no, it's alright as long as they're trying to overthrow an "oppressive dictator", no matter how many people they kill and no matter if they're from a different country where Assad has no jurisdiction whatsoever. Also, if there was an army like the FSA in the U.S. trying to overthrow Obama, the same fucking thing would be happening to them. So Assad is a bad guy for using his government to fight back a bunch of thugs with weapons? To me it sounds like he's doing the right thing.

I am appalled by the event for sure, I regret every bit of this happening, and I feel for the victims’ families and American Muslims and middle-easterners who might feel tension because of this, but the inconsistency really gets me.

Words can’t describe my utter disgust and rage. What I wouldn’t do for the chance to choke these motherfuckers, and then spray their fucking bodies with machine gun fire ... that would be bliss.
