Trees of Arcadia
Did you know that food waste plays a role in climate change?
Every year, the issue of climate change gets worse.
These natural disaster might not be something that we could significantly feel, but it is indeed is a punishment from The Almighty to what humankind has done.
Certainly, it is because the earth’s temperature is gradually increasing. However, many of us don't realize that these things are caused by humans themselves and by the smallest things.
Many daily activities that we're not aware of are endangering the earth. As simple as the matter of what we EAT.
Normally, we eat 3 times a day. Of the three times of meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner, of course, we will choose the food we like. Food that suits our taste buds.
Mischief has appeared in the land and the sea because of what the hands of the mankind have earned, that The Almighty may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return (to the right path)

Less Plastic, Less Panic
Helluuu! We meet again! In accordance to my previous post, let’s take a look on our small step in sustainable living!
We can take an easy example such as reducing plastic waste. By reducing plastic waste, can we contribute to realizing the idea of sustainability? Yes.
How do you reduce plastic waste? Some of the really easy things anyone can start doing are:
Bring your own grocery bag.
There are so many cute tote bags you can find! :3
Bring your own lunch box for take-out meals.
Lunch box aren’t only for kids!
Bring your own tumbler for boba or coffee date.
Boba date but make it eco-friendly.
Bring your own reusable cutlery.
Not only eco-friendly, but also maintain self-hygiene.
Bring your own re-usable straws.
We don’t want to hurt them cute turtles anymore, do we?
Switch from plastic toothbrushes to wooden toothbrushes.
They are hella cute, kids size are also available!
Refuse to bring home disposable plastic lunches.
If possible, request your food or drinks to be packed in paper or boxes like these:
With these small steps, we are contributing to reduce the waste that ends up in our oceans and endangers the marine ecosystem. By reducing plastic waste, we can contribute to one of the goal of SDGs, the 14th goal: Life Below Water.
However, public awareness about this issue may still be lacking and yet they are tired of hearing this issue. The big question is, is the amount of plastic consumption in the world decreasing? The answer is of course no.
This campaign should be presented repetitively. Therefore, don’t forget to repost this post if you find this useful, so let’s get into it!
Take a look at the picture below, this is the length of time it takes for single-use plastic to biodegrade.
So what’s your next step? Will you contribute to save the earth? I will be faithfully waiting for your answer. ♡
I repeat, sustainable living can be achieved by anyone, anywhere, anytime and by doing anything. The question is, are you willing to do it?
Follow me for more information about sustainability! Don’t forget to re-post. Ciao!

Sustainability: Starts Small
Sustainable living can be achieved by anyone, anywhere, anytime.
But, what does sustainability really mean? When did the concept of sustainability actually appear?
The word sustainable came to the fore in 1987 when the United Nations Brundtland Commission established a definition of sustainability.
“Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
Then sustainability also appeared on the world agenda, namely the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 with 17 “ambitious” goals and 169 targets.
But, what about it?
The word sustainability might sound like a novelty and a big thing. Indeed, it cannot be denied, sustainability is a big thing.
But we can’t deny the fact that big things can be achieved by starting to do small things.
Little things done by millions of people will eventually makes great influence and exponentially creates a big impact.
You’ve come this far! So, how do we start to live sustainably? Check one of my post to find out:
