Hi!I’ve been watching their recent public appearances closely, and I keep going back and forth. On one hand, I see small but real gestures on Tiktok—Emmanuel resting his hand on her thigh, gently stroking her fingers, accompanying her to the BTS concert, sharing a water bottle. Those aren’t staged for cameras; they’re habits of intimacy that you can’t fake.
On the other hand, the media noise is exhausting. The holiday photos showed them together but not particularly “close” by paparazzi standards, which sparked more gossip. Yet I also heard that Brigitte practically dragged him away from work because she was worried about his health—that sounds like a wife who truly cares, not a marriage in trouble.
So here’s my question to you: Do you think the lack of overt PDA on vacation means anything, or are we just reading too much into what the cameras choose to show?
I want to trust what I see, but the rumors keep creeping in. What’s your take? Looking forward to your reply🙂
first of all, thank you for writing such a long message.
And if I remember correctly, the vacation photos that circulated were actually taken over just a couple of days at the beginning of their holiday. They spent more than two weeks together. What we actually saw was a tiny fraction of that time. A handful of photographs can hardly tell us what the other hundreds of hours looked like.
That said, if we zoom out beyond this particular holiday, I do think their PDA has become less obvious over the past couple of years compared with before. So I completely understand what you mean by “I want to trust what I see, but the rumors keep creeping in.” With so much noise around them, sometimes it’s difficult not to let it get into your head.
But strangely enough, I don’t think I’ve ever truly lost faith in the bond between them.
Do I think they sometimes argue, get annoyed with each other, or go through difficult moments? Of course. We’ve probably even seen a few of those moments caught on camera. But to me, that’s one of the most normal things about a relationship, especially one that has lasted this long. A strong relationship isn’t one in which two people never have problems; what matters much more is how they communicate, how they deal with those problems, and whether they continue choosing each other afterwards.
And honestly, this is also why writing about them isn’t always easy for me. I need to find a balance between the affection and trust I genuinely see in them and the fact that they’re two real people with a long, complicated relationship. I don’t want every difficult moment to become evidence of a crisis, but I also don’t want to pretend those moments can’t exist.
Ultimately, we’re outsiders. We see fragments, whether they’re affectionate fragments or awkward ones, and we’ll probably never know the whole reality of their private life. So I try not to make either kind of moment carry more meaning than it reasonably can.
But from everything I’ve seen and read? I still trust what they have. 🙈🥹🫶🏽
