Just finished placing the initial powers on the characters. I joined two game jams with this project:

My idea is tomorrow start to play with the level design itself.
3 Character Platform - DevLog #1
I wanna a small game just so I could train and learn more on Level Design. I pick to revive an old idea: The Lost Vikings, but with goblins. The idea here was to explore how to build an environment for multiple characters traverse. Didn't found any spritesheet with goblins that I liked it, so I exchange it to this characters.
I choose Unity as the Game Engine here so I could move fast on the project and just focus on the level design. Since my focus was on level design, I'm using a bunch of free CC0 assets from internet:

Last 2 weeks assignment on the CGMA course on level design. I got back to the original jungle assignment and make from zero. The objective here was to study composition and bring some views into Unreal.

Another week studying level design! This work delivery is not that something that I liked, but at least I tried and accepted that is a work in progress.
I need to focus more on learn how to use light to highlight more of the work. This time will be a 2 week work to create a space base in open world environment... I'm kind scared of doing it, but I got some ideas and learned a new world: Archigram. I want to use some of the ideas of the moving city to create this moon base.

Its been a couple of weeks since I started a course on CGMA for level design. This course is taking a lot of my productive time since is in another game engine , that's why I didn't post much. This week assignment I did a little 5 room Egyptian tomb. I'm really not a fan of old Egypt and this is visible from my plain walls hahahah. Next week is a jungle temple, I WILL use it as a excuse to make a Elven temple inside a jungle? Of course.

I'm not studying now since I got a freelance. The idea is do IA using behavior trees for some NPCs. I'm having fun and got a lot of work done on the first 2 days since I was studying on the prior week.
My digital garden suffered a little on this little pause, but I think it will be temporary, just so I can work on this. After this pause I will going back to study.
For the end of the month I will be doing a level design course. I hope this help me to move forward of switching gears as a programmer to a level designer.

This course is very good and I couldn't recommend it more.
On the gif you can see a robber invading a gallery and stealing a diamond and some paintings! First he checks if the front door is open, which is not, then he goes on the back door which if open. After that first check he always use the back door to enter the gallery. Then he start to pick the diamond and then each of the paintings presented on the gallery and bring it to the van.
This behaviour tree is being made using coroutines so will be testing the state outside the Update, making much more performant than using directly inside it.
My digital garden is getting bigger each day as can be seen on the graph! I'm quite happy on how is expanding.
During this week I also took some time to look into my portfolio section inside the digital garden. Its getting more polished, I expect to create a base template to use on the long run, lets see!
Another day of studying! Made some code today while took some lessons on Behaviour Trees. I did a little note taking today for this lessons and added into my digital garden, nothing much, but I felt a good progress on my studies today.
