This is a first for me in the wild... Lygodium palmatum. This genus is a vine-like fern. It has adorable mitten-like leaflets, and the “vine” is actually a frond that grows indeterminately. Here’s one I don’t see every day on the streets of Manhattan… Yellowwood (Cladrastis kentukea). Notice the arrangement of the leaflets on these compound leaves. They are alternate and pinnate BUT with alternately-arranged leaflets.
