Okay I'm going to try and explain what I think of Prime and it's specific advancements, how Christianity is in UPP but not PD, how Deadwood seems so far behind compared to NewHaven etc. These are just MY THOUGHTS!!
Christianity was said, by Bizly, to not exist on Prime (During the Christmas EP). But in Unwitness, it's actually like a key plot point. My sister, @lunardaze06, proposed the idea of UPP's Christianity to be basically an offshoot of an offshoot of an offshoot This would fill the plot hole, because Bizly would've been saying that OUR Christianity doesn't exist, but their version does. So their beliefs wouldn't be like the ones our Christians have. The main beliefs, original bibles, etc, were most likely lost in humanities move from planet to planet. I'd say it's safe to assume they weren't still on Earth during our current time period, and that they actually were much further advanced then they would've been had the time period been like ours until space exploration. If that makes sense..??
That brings me to my next point, if they were so far ahead why is it as if they're just like us but on a different planet (+flying cars)? Like how Christianities main beliefs were lost, I believe a lot of tech was lost during planetary move. And that during their time on Mars they had to rebuild a lot of tech, vehicles, etc etc. And when they moved to Prime they were able to keep a lot of that stuff. I'm going to throw out random centuries I think this was happening.
1750's - Earth. Advanced to our current, thinking of moving planets.
1800's - Mars, rebuilding various thingss..
1900's - Prime time, first era of heros.
2010's (?) - First era hero's end.
2100's - Their current!
I think these time periods would make the most sense, and would make it so they are VERY technologically advanced compared to us.
Okay seemless transition, why is Deadwood so far behind? I think that the type of aura surrounding Deadwood makes them keep to themselves more often then not. Based on my previous timeline, I'd say they haven't developed past when the town was established. Which also, I think, is the reason why they still have Christianity.
Basically I'm just saying, though they're still in contact through various devices, they stay frozen in the time period they find most familiar. Change, in a place as overtaken by stress and mystery as Deadwood, could just add more stress to the residents. And I believe that's why they CHOOSE to stay in the most comfortable time period for them.
