Vaughan Sound has completed another impressive sound, lighting and audio-visual scheme – this time throughout the brand new Penarth Learning Community – as part of the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s 21st Century Schools Investment Programme. The state-of-the-art facilities will be home to St Cyres School and the new Ysgol Y Deri.

Vaughan Sound has completed the integration of a new delegate conference system at Penallta House, the headquarters of Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Opened in 2008 as the local authority’s new corporate base, the five storey building at Tredomen Park in Ystrad Mynach covers 150,000 sq. ft. and has the capacity to accommodate over 650 people.

Appointed following an extensive tender process, Vaughan Sound was tasked with supplying and integrating a system with simultaneous translation and audio-visual presentation facilities. In total, almost 100 delegate microphone units were required for this large-scale council chamber refurbishment.

Due to the nature of the project Vaughan Sound initiated a detailed implementation plan, which set out a comprehensive schedule covering procurement and IS coordination through to final commissioning and system handover. The previous system was decommissioned as part of the overall works package, following the staging and testing of all new products in our showroom.

Taking the client’s many specific requirements into account, we proposed and subsequently delivered a Bosch DCN wired Conscentus solution. The system offers additional functionality, as it is capable of delivering full HD 1080p video content to the displays within the chamber, with cameras specified by Vaughan Sound delivering high definition feeds.

Training was provided for several key members of staff, with comprehensive guidance given to ensure efficient operation of all system components.

Building upon our strong track record of delivering solutions for public sector clients, Vaughan Sound will now provide ongoing maintenance support as part of a five-year rolling service contract.

Vaughan Sound has continued to support industry in South Wales through the completion of an impressive, large-scale audio-visual integration project for the Life Sciences Hub Wales in Cardiff Bay.

The client required a substantial array of specialist future-proof technology, with the Welsh Government supporting the fit-out as well as the rental cost for the first five years as part of its £100 million Life Sciences Investment Fund. Occupying an entire 12,000 sq. ft. floor, state-of-the-art solutions were needed across areas including a presentation space, boardroom, four meeting rooms, CEO office, and multimedia pod.

Integral to the (est.) £2.2m fit-out works, Vaughan Sound was tasked with specifying and installing a range of audio, display, projection, centralised video recording, live streaming and video conferencing systems, along with all dedicated cabling and infrastructure, to deliver a full turnkey solution.

Bosch HD cameras, Crestron control systems, EVOKO Room Manager systems, Phillips desktop monitors, Polycom HDX7000 video conference units, a Samsung SUR40” multi touch display, Sharp LCD TVs, Trantec radio microphones, and Yamaha mixers and audio amplifiers, were just some of the products integrated into this first class business space.

We were appointed by Paramount Interiors, following two previous successful collaboration projects at 3 Assembly Square for KPMG and ITV Cymru Wales respectively. This latest scheme completes a trio of projects at the grade A waterfront office space, as Vaughan Sound – which is celebrating 50 years in the AV industry this year – adds to its impressive public sector portfolio.

The venue will become a central pillar in the vision to create a thriving Life Sciences eco-system in Wales – bringing activity, knowledge, people and policy together.

Lighting Technology Projects has supplied Traxon kit for a large-scale refurbishment project at 82 Baker Street in London.

The Traxon product was purchased by Cogent Electrical Services Ltd; specified by LTP to provide a clean, white LED solution to the new atrium.

Lazari Investments - with assistance from Marks Barfield Architects and Forme UK - have been tasked with delivering a new London HQ for Publicis, a leading creative agency, within the 73,000 sq. ft. office space.

The end user has agreed a 15-year lease for an energy-efficient refurbished building, with an open plan workplace, impressive new atrium with an interconnecting glass stairway, and a biodiverse roof and terrace.

Originally built in 1904 to house the headquarters of Marks & Spencer, with an extension later added in 1936, the building has provided prime office space in Marylebone for over a century.

The new atrium will be situated above the proposed courtyard, providing a physical link between the original structure and the newer at the first, second, third and fourth floors. Offering a bright and airy space at the heart of the building, the atrium will provide a high-quality workplace environment and a key area for social interaction.

We have continued to build upon our hospitality portfolio with the recent completion of Phase 1 of a large-scale project at Novotel London West. LTP has replaced all Tivoli lighting fixtures with energy-efficient, colour changing Philips product in the Hammersmith hotel's Champagne Suite.

Lighting Technology Projects will provide ongoing maintenance support to all architectural lighting components on the award winning Strand East Tower, following the approval of a Service Level Agreement for the 130ft structure in Stratford, east London.
