A dip in the lake || Remus & Sirius

Being back to Hogwarts really was brilliant, no longer was he spending all his time shut up in that too quiet, too painful house. He was here, things were moving and he had Remus at his side. James was still a little off, not around enough, a little too distant, so was Peter, but all in all things were good. Things with Remus were right about perfect to be honest. After opening the door Sirius glanced over his shoulder with a cheeky grin, "Well if you get too cold I'm more than willing to warm you up," He winked. 

I was trying to be athletic and jump off a wall but I fell….

Alright, well I'll do what I can. Oh fine, no more mice. Maybe kittens next.

Letters to Sirius

Now why would you ever think that? 

I’m guessing that he has to at least be a hundred by now or at least close to it. Yeah, that he does. To be honest, she’s probably more strict with him than what any of us would be. I am. I don’t think I could handle being Head Boy, dealing with monthly transformations, homework, and having a social life all at once.  Oh does he know? You know, I would throw in some compliments about his hair and a few other things but like I said, can’t feed that ego of his. Hopefully there won’t be anyone else down at it having a swim.

Sounds about right, yeah. Probably, but there might be other reasons for that, yeah? Right, that might be a bit too tough to deal with. But You've still got the Prefects Bathroom. He does. He really does. I think he can handle the compliments about his hair. I don't think so, everyone else is already busy with lessons now, yeah?

He must really be off his rocker. Though maybe Prongs will surprise us all and be a brilliant Head Boy. I really thought that it might be me as well. I’m really glad that it wasn’t.  Yeah, he does. I do really like him, more than I have ever liked anyone else before. Though you probably shouldn’t tell him that though, might go to his head. Ah, I’m glad that I at least trump those. Speaking of the lake, come on before it gets too cold out for a swim.

I mean, how old is he now? It wouldn't surprise me at all. I guess he does have Evans to keep an eye on him, yeah? Well as long as you're happy with it, yeah? Oh that is a terribly kind thing to say about him. It probably will, but he does share the feelings in equal measure. Oh, right right. To the Lake and to fun!

I still can’t believe that he’s Headboy- I mean, apparently detention records didn’t play a role when choosing who give the title to. Well, I was going to say that a Padfoot trumps library no matter what but if you want to go with just the lake trumps it….

Neither can I. Maybe Dumbledore's really gone off his rocker officially this time. I thought it was going to be you. Apparently not. Does he really? Well you must really like him, if he trumps the library of all things. Well you trump the lake and the library. 

It’ll be a year filled with more pranks than usual. They won’t know what has hit them! You and the library might have to fight it out for who is going to get my attention and when. -grins and lets himself be pulled along- I mean, it might get jealous and what not that I’m spending more time with you than spending hours cramped at a table doing homework.

Of course. And we cannot let Jim's new Headboyship stand in our way. Pranks take precedence! I will do whatever it takes to defeat the library whenever possible. Even if it means distracting while actually spending time in the library. I am willing to go that far. But for now, Lake trumps Library. 

Yeah, I think all of us will need to have a hand in it to make sure it’s completely brilliant. But I’m sure we’ll think of something. I mean, we have to leave our mark on the school. Something that they’ll remember us by for years to come. Or before I change my mind and decide that I really should be working on my homework instead of taking a dip in the lake. So come on you.
