complete with frosted lip gloss

she'd definitely crimp her hair

On the topic of 2000s fashion Jesper would've KILLED the hot mess that was the denim phase of society

He would've showed up britney spears and justin timberlake EASILY

because only jesper could pull off a denim tux

don't get me started on the opportunity for him and nina to wear matching Juicy Cuture velvet tracksuits

Inej would absolutely knock low rise jeans out of the park

even though they are in fact the bane of my existence

and i hate that they're a trend right now

you know those scrunchie shirts

the ones that looked like baby clothes but would stretch like crazy when you wore them and they basically looked wrinkly but that was ~fashion~

she'd look so cute in them

the shiny metal colorful bangle bracelets

she'd also manage to fit all her stunning hair into a claw clip when she was reading something or needed to focus

kaz would spend days trying to figure out how a claw clip works because it didn't add up in his head

don't come for me but inej is giving lace up high top boot converse- you know what im talking about

Jesper Fahey and Cardan Greenbrair

they would drive Jude and Kaz out of their minds

Wylan would be exasperated by this duo but secretly love it because of how happy Jesper is

Jesper would love the fae in general

Wylan Van Eck and Hermione Granger

I don't know why this popped into my head when I could have said ATYD Grant Chapman

actually they would be pretty great together tbh

nvm i changed my mind it's them.

Wylan Van Eck and Grant Chapman

they both have/had "magic" boyfriends

they would talk about how they got thrown into a whole new world

they're always portrayed as the sweet sunshine-y baby character

but they would fight viciously for the person they loved

Taryn Duarte and Mal Oretsev

this has a lot of Grishaverse characters bc Leigh Bardugo is an icon

Jude Duarte and Zoya Nazyalensky

they would bond over their idiotic husbands and how badass they are

or tear each other apart I'm not sure

Inej Ghafa and Katniss Everdeen

Inej is a strong badass but on the quieter side

Katniss is a strong badass who doesn't have as quiet as a personality

Katniss and Inej also make very logical decisions that have lots of thought out into them

Inej seems to click with characters who are also strong inside and out with a heart to match (ex Nina)

Evelyn Hugo and Kaz Brekker

I was going to write this with just female characters but I couldn't especially when this iconic duo could exist

Evelyn is an icon who has had her name dragged through the dust and wrapped in lights

She has had to do things most people would look at her in disgust for

but Kaz Brekker doesn't judge.

They would meet for coffee and be passive aggressive to each other at first

and then somehow become friends, regularly coming over for brunch

gossip columns would take digs at Evelyn but then the writer would mysteriously disappear and come back with a quick public apology

they'd give each other advice on how to get out of trouble

Addie Larue and Nina Zenik

Nina loves adrenaline rushes

Addie has seen a lot and done a lot so they could talk about how much more life they want to see

I think Nina could also provide insight on Addie's situation with Luc

Nina is definitely the type of girl to tell you your boyfriend is toxic

and then bring you food to make you feel better about it

Luna Lovegood and Alina Starkov

two of the most sincere people to exist

They could braid each other's blond hair and have biscuits with tea

Inej is the only one that can sit next to Kaz on rides

so she likes the Studio Tour Tram because she likes watching Kaz nerd out in the corner of her eye

he knows she watches him but doesn't say anything

Inej and jesper love the cotton candy

Jesper loves the Simpson Ride

he thinks it's hilarious

he will absolutely make everyone stand in a 2 hour line so he can get on that ride

they never actually wait that long because Kaz pretends someone is holding their spot up front and they end up cutting in front of the vast majority

wylan hates the simpson ride

he doesn't know why but it probably has to do with the embarrassing apologies he mutters under his breath as they shove past people

he likes all the other 3D immersive rides mainly because he's fascinated by how realistic things look

The dinosaurs on Jurassic World are his personal favorite

The Crows' Favorite Universal Studio Attractions pt 1

Matthias hates amusement parks

but he goes so he can win Nina stuffed animals

he's actually afraid of roller coasters but would never admit it

his favorite attraction is Hogsmeade Village because it "reminds him of Fjerda"

nina loves the churros and dippin dots ice cream at the park

she's also an adrenaline junkie who prefers Six Flags but insists on Universal Studios to bond

her favorite ride is Revenge of The Mummy

(it would also be Jurassic World if it wasn't for the water ruining her hair)

Kaz is the type to silently sit and enjoy the tour tram ride because you can chose the number of empty space in your row

but shoots glares at the children who turn around in their seat to face him

inej has to nudge him to stop

he also discretely gets her those collectible pressed pennies

"Kaz if not saints what do you believe in?"

i mean with a title like "Born of Heaven, Most Celestial Highness" we pretend she's not the girlboss we all want to be? She's cunning, strong, morally grey ambitious, canonically hot, and if she were the main character everyone would be rooting for her. I mean she's such a great character she just wasn't good.
