our story follows cid, a very clever and earnest passionate soul with a soft spot for mechanical work, and his washed up melodramatic older brother, ozy.

back in his prime, ozy was the most well known hire around - well, him and his small group from the old days of course! he was known for miles and it was a fight over who got to send him out next. nowadays? well, he’s fallen off. he has a new team - practically a family business now - that operates in a rundown shitty cabin on the outskirts of what was once “everybody’s beloved” new jersey.

ozy’s group consists of him at the forefront (and the face of it all) with his long time soulmate rosemary and his long time loathed cyrus both being his right hands. he’s a mentor figure to both ace, a younger cyborg whose life he saved years ago by mechanically augmenting the poor kids burned body, and to finch, a young man with an interest in robotic studies and a desire for a home after losing his promised education in the caverns. ozy is more of a father figure to the youngest members - having completely raised both his brother cid and the “kid he totally saved off the streets” mellohi. they have never known a life that isn’t the family business. cid has never known a life that wasn’t cleaning up ozy’s messes and carrying the world on his back behind the scenes. mellohi has never known a life outside of the spotlight and the thrill of following in his idols footsteps, always longing for the next great thing. 

due to a long running alliance going on ten years now, these day’s ozy’s services are not so country wide. instead his group is more so devoted to the faction who’s territory his cabin sits on the border of - arcade’s faction. arcade runs his faction unbelievably efficient and is as a result incredibly respected for the amount of protection and care he works very hard to provide to all his people. ozy and arcade have been in a very long standing ten year (not quite labeled... yet kind of labeled...) relationship - a business one and the gay kind, really. they have a contract regarding ozy's services prioritizing the needs and protection of the people living within arcade's factions above all other jobs and offers. in exchange, ozy gets to call the outskirts of the faction home.

the two have an understanding of each other that nobody else quite does and they've been through a lot together. they’ve seen each other at their lowests and their highests. ozy holds an unmatched amount of love and respect for arcade no matter how much he likes to put on an infuriating complaint filled front - he lives for being a pain in the ass on purpose. arcade has never been inspired by anything quite like he is by ozy. he's seen who ozy has been and who he's become and his fondness has never wavered. he's never stopped believing in him once. he often pushes ozy because he knows what he’s capable of if he actually tries for once and doesn’t just whine like a lazy manchild.

together, they do a pretty good job of keeping their corner of the world taken care of. mostly.
