Dreaming

He wanted to change. He did change. He dared to hope,And yet… he still died. Even when Destiny literally says there are multiple futures. Even when Dream chooses not to kill Orpheus at first. Even when he has options to walk a different path. Even when he says he doesn’t want to die. He still does. It feels like a cruel joke. Like the narrative punished him not for his pride, but for trying. For growing. For caring. And yeah, Daniel is good. He’s kind and worthy. But he’s not Morpheus. So no. I’m not at peace with that ending. Because redemption should mean something. And hope should count for something. He changed and he still died and that will never sit right with me.
