It isn't just the intersection of gender and being trans. And it applies to people outside the trans community too.

My cishet roommate is probably more oppressed than me in terms of reproductive rights. She lives in a state where abortion is highly difficult to get. I don't. I could get an abortion not easily, but easier than her.

A poor transmasc who lives in like fucking texas with an unsupportive family is going to be more oppressed than a trans women several years into her transition living in a state/place where trans people have more rights and she has a supportive community. The complicating factors here is not the gender of the trans person but rather age, location, and socio-economic status.

All trans people in Kansas lost their drivers license. This makes it so living in Kansas adds another layer of oppression to trans people there.

Black trans people obviously also have a different type of oppression and experience due to our white supremacist society. I'm not going to talk directly to it as I am not Black, but if you are, please charm in here with your thoughts/experiences.

Like my guys, I'm not really a gender abolitionist (really haven't thought about it) but have to stop clinging onto girl vs. boy so much.

strong criticism of therapy, psychiatry, the medical industry in general, pharmaceuticals criticizing overprescribing potentially harmful medications like SSRIs instead of addressing core issues or trying other, less side effect heavy medications defending marginalized people and calling out all bigotry, especially racism and queerphobia stopping stigma against people with disorders like NPD, BPD, HPD, ASPD, POCD, OCD, ZOCD, and Plural people, ect. fighting for mad pride, bodily autonomy, and EVERYONE'S right to be who they are understanding power imbalances and abuse in the therapist's office calling out the DSM for it's ableism, transphobia, racism, ect as well as understanding that it isn't the Final Say of mental illness or what a diagnosis is not pushing a "one size fits all" method to mental health (i.e, talk therapy and medication and if that doesn't work then you're broken go be institutionalized) accepting change, scientific growth, and changing/rebuilding the medical systems in place that have been used to torture mentally ill people (ESPECIALLY BLACK PEOPLE!) for decades, because everyone deserves safety. exposing the long history of abuse in mental health facilities and being against forced institutionalization and "ugly law" rhetoric understanding that "doctor" "psychiatrist" and "therapist" are simply jobs upheld by regular human beings and those human beings can be wonderful or abusive, and wanting a positive change to keep vulnerable people safe and bring advocacy to them.

saying all medication is harmful and that no one should take meds saying all doctors are literally evil and we don't need them saying that therapy is inherently unhelpful anti-recovery making excuses for mentally ill people that do immoral/awful things saying your diagnosis isn't real or valid saying your trauma isn't real or valid saying neurodivergent people are inherently better or worse wanting to get rid of ALL therapists and doctors
