I agree, it also ruins the whole momentum of the game, they’ll be ready to run the ball and then next thing you know it’s a break I can tell some of the players gets annoyed. But honestly the fans are the only ones carrying this World Cup despite it being a hot mess I hope fifa never holds another World Cup there but unfortunately we know how corrupt they are they’ll do anything for money.

I think these breaks should be done on merit and should be much quicker, like maybe a minute. We’ve had these in Brazilian football for a while and that’s how it works. It’s really quick and there’s no time to fit an ad.

Another thing that also bothers me is that it feels like FIFA is doing that to cater to the US audience and have a “four quarters” match. And I don’t like it because that’s not the format of football and I don’t think we should adapt the sport just to fit what a specific audience prefers or it’s used to.

I think it's the second possibility now, meaning he genuinely likes her and wants to be with her longterm. I saw the GQ video and it felt obvious. He said the only sentimental things in his whole life are those dingy bracelets and he gave her the LSU one, likely the most meaningful. Plus, he's got a new green band which we don't know the origin of, and all he said was "Someone special gave it to me." He had a backstory for all his bracelets except that one, wouldn't name the person, and it doesn't match the theme or type of the others, which all flag (to me) that it's from her.

I guess the only thing that still doesn't make sense is why he gave her the LSU bracelet so early. They either met in January or May-ish (but likely May), and by June, he'd given it away. He was actively trying to hook up with other girls for well over a year after that (maybe longer), released an article saying they were casual only, then dropped her a bunch and avoided her like the plague in public. They only started consistently seeing each other in the second half of last year. It can't be that he got rid of it because the bracelet was old or faded since he addressed that through his other comments in the video.

Honestly, watching that video made me realize how different he is to who he presents himself to be. He came across as shallow, boring, and lame in how he talks, and you'd think someone like me who was a fan for so long would find him more engaging knowing all his quirks and intricacies instead of this basic dude who only talks about superficial clothes and his brand deals. I can only imagine how a random person would see him. I think he's kinda dumb now, to be honest, which isn't surprising given he's spending so much time with a loser like Ponton. I think she's genuinely cost him a few IQ points, and he's lost a ton of mystique and light in his face and presence. Sometimes we can't tell how people drain us, and I think they both are taking each other down - we see how she's a mess and he never smiles when she's in his vicinity.

Sorry for all this, just figured you'd understand the loss of interest in him better than anyone.

I was going to say option number two anyway because at this point I find it hard to believe that he doesn’t really know who she is. It’s been two years, that’s more than enough time to get to know someone. Plus I think everything I’ve seen from him in the past year, just shows how he has turned into someone shallow, futile and dumb. It’s like fame and money ate his brain.

As for the bracelets, I don’t know how much we can believe his words at this point because I feel like his words don’t match his action recently. But if the bracelets are special and he gave her the LSU one, then why can’t she wear it? If she’s the special someone who gave him the green one, then why can’t she be proudly supporting him at his games and does she still have to hide when she’s visiting him? Or after all the pap pics, why can’t you just say “my girlfriend gave it to me”?

If she’s a special person to him, then she clearly doesn’t get the special treatment.

Also please don’t get me wrong! I think people should enjoy other countries’ culture, food, music, history, nature etc but don’t use these communities as a trend or an aesthetic! They are not an “era” that you can benefit from and drop when you move onto other things or it’s not convenient anymore.
