Dumfries and Galloway is an area rich in archaeology, has many examples, home to many awe-inspiring ancient stone structures known as standing stones and stone circles.

Kirkmadrine Stones; The eight Kirkmadrine Stones include three of the oldest Christian memorials in Scotland, dating to the 500s AD.

Stone of Lochmaben was once used as the marker between Scotland and England.

Businesses have taken the symbolism of the monoliths in the region as a link to the past and present, such as Galloway Luxury Lodges …
