“I see. You are well-informed of these parts so I trust your judgment. Take us where you think is best.” He sure hopes his shepherds are there, or at least some of them. It would put his mind at ease knowing they are safe and sound. He got lucky to be thrown here, in a relatively safe place. God only knows where the others are. 

“Miss R’Leia, where do we go from here?” his sense of directions is perplexed due to not knowing his whereabouts but surely once he gets to see a map or some road signs, he can make a mental map of his own. Perhaps, not as good as Robin or Frederick’s but a decent one in case he got separated from his new friend over here.

Leia looked to the direction in which she was walking towards and points, “You see that white structure in the distance? We’re to cross that bridge and follow the road straight. Some stairs will lead us into the port city, and we’ll start searching your friends from there.”

“You are hardly ‘bringing down the mood’, my friend,” he says with a smile, her expression making it clear that she feels no small amount of discomfort over sharing such personal details. It was to be expected, given they weren’t particularly close to each other. “Tis good to speak of such things. Locking them away does you little good—and I do believe I am quite the expert on that, given my secrecy on the First.”

“But I understand how confusing traversing from one realm to the next can be.”

Of course he did. The number of people who had done so successfully was alarmingly small, disregarding the numerous Ascians that had done so. 

“’Tis hard enough waking up elsewhere and trying to understand the nuances of the shard you’re own, all while people are looking at you as though your last shred of sanity has slipped away from you.”

It was nice to confide to G’raha. Though his appearance is youthful, his soul was well aged. However, Leia did not feel much difference between the two. Only that G’raha had lived longer and experienced more in his time. “You’re telling me...” she sighed, “When I first arrived in the Source, it took me a long time to adjust.” nearly a month, to be exact.

To suddenly find yourself with features and traits you never had before, as you were just a simple human hyur. Your parents were the same, personality wise, but everything else wasn’t. You are undoubtedly no longer in your hometown, and suddenly people you don’t know, you do. Never mind the weeks she spent mourning over her home world and wishing she could see her parents again.

“Fitting in was tough. I guess it’s because I was trying to adjust into a role that was already established...”

Leia starts questioning within the back of her mind just how much should she bare her heart to someone regarded more as a coworker than a friend. Perhaps this was due to Leia just...being herself.

“Well, hey,” X’kijin says, at last smiling at her. “If you can at least read them, you’re already doing better than me.”

He chuckles, light-hearted as she explains that they’re well enough, as far as she can tell. 

“It’s good enough to know they’re as safe as can be expected, I suppose. Why not go find a post moogle before you run off again? I’m sure they’d be happy to hand them over to you—and you’d have a chance to write back, besides.”

Then again, perhaps it was presumptuous to assume she would even want to. Clear as it was that she cared, there had to be a reason she kept her distance as much as she did. 

“Ah, well. I suppose so.” she rubs the back of her head. The only person who writes to her was the gunbreaker and R’leia’s parents, so there wasn’t like she had a whole lot. But the latter senders, although they mean no harm, would always put the brunette through a dour mood after writing back.

She wouldn’t want to speak more of her writing abilities, feeling as though the teen wasn’t being considerate of the other if Leia tries to voice the difficulties in learning Eorzean. Never mind Norvrandt as she would have left it to the more adept in learning to figure it out.

It verges on mesmerizing the ease of which she takes down their enemies, with an ease that is only partly due to being grouped up. The strain on her body is far from easy—and the aether rolling off her in waves makes it unnecessary to ask if that might be the case. 

And when their enemies are at last on the ground, nary a single twitch of their limbs amongst them, a jovial laugh slips past Sair’a’s lips as he returns his staff to its resting position on his back and claps for her, only for a brief moment.

“Stunning, R’leia!” he says as he approaches her, a smile on his face that shows off a hint of his fangs. “Even Estinien might have been jealous of that—or at least how much better you looked doing it.”

Still, when he is at least near her, he raises a hand to her arm, aiming to steady her if she might need as much. Though unfamiliar with the methods and training of the Azure Dragoons, he knew enough about Aether to say the she had broken well beyond her limit. 

“We should rest a moment before going further. I doubt you’d want me to carry you to safety, especially if we meet more creatures with a desire to kill us, though I am quite fast for a mage, I assure you.”

The attack she had just unleashed pushed her body to it’s limit, nearly sending her to her knees. The brunette stabs her spear into the ground, hoping to hold herself up as she felt exhaustion overtaking her.

“Ha...haha, considering that I based this attack of his...I would at least take the latter compliment...” a smile broke through her exhaustion, thankful for him and his support.

She fumbled with the hem of her shirt as she kept her gaze down.  Unable to know how to take the kind offer in that moment knowing well on the circumstances of things.  It wasn’t that long since she was brought to the prime dimension now but even still.  Plum wasn’t sure how to manage with once again watching someone she was close to die before her eyes.

“You’re a victim too...” Leia felt the need to say, “And I don’t think you’re going to kill us either.” It’s not that she isn’t capable of it, any one is capable of murder and Plum had a valid reason to act on it. However, the teen felt if the other had wanted to do so, she would’ve aided Victor in battle.

“Pardon?” what does she mean not this realm? Or did he mishear her? He did hit his head after all, so perhaps he is still confused of his surrounding. Eyes flickered when she said her name. “R…leia?” Chrom’s mind wandered for a moment, thinking about how she both looks like a girl he knew and not to mention how close her name resembles her. Was it a mere coincidence? Does he believe in coincidences? 

“–! Thank you…” he took her hand and got up to dust his back and make sure his sword and belonging are with him. “Ah..right…” it still bothered him but he does not have anything to go by except her look and name. “Thank you again for helping me, L..er R’Leia…” he deflects this by looking around him. “Now…how do I get back?” hands rest on his sides. “Maybe if I wait here someone or something might come or happen.”     

“Hm, well... I think it’d be better to hang out at the city nearby. It’s largely populated and people gather there on a daily basis.” the brunette suggests, “Starting adventurers tend to hang out there and since it’s a big town, perhaps your companions are there?”

Now, Milla wasn’t really wise in the ways of “weird” foods; so long as it tasted good, then that was all that mattered in her book. “Then why don’t we make both? That means we’ll have plenty of leftovers for everyone else.”

She was a little surprised when Leia asked what she thought. “W-What I like? W-Well… I usually just make soups, but my favorite would have to be…” The first thing that came to mind was Ludger’s tomato omelets. “…t-tomato omelets, I guess.”

An idea came to the teen when Milla spoke of her favorite dish, “Both sounds goood, but y’knoooww~... How about soda rice and tomato omelets?” Leia jotted down the dishes onto her notepad and slowly began to break them down by ingredients and groups of what she has at her apartment and what she doesn’t have.

“Now, now. I didn’t invite you solely to know anything about Alfred, I was actually hoping to know about you; what’s going on with you.” he pressed the elevator button to come down. “You’re awfully distracted by something of late. Of course, you are free to talk or not.”

The teen wasn’t entirely sure where the older researcher was grasping this from. But perhaps Jude was talking as though the brunette had been acting off as of late.

It was...strange, and honestly embarrassing that someone the teen was only acquainted with was concerned about her.

“Uh, well. No, honestly nothing’s wrong.” He never really showed interest in her either, “It’s just the usual business. What about you? Do you really have the kind of time to spare for this kind of idle talk? What about the lab?”

There was something about the way this woman was looking at her, as if she was seeing a ghost—and perhaps she was. Yotsuyu felt near enough to one to be called as much. 

“Have we met?” she asks, an edge in her voice that demands an answer. They had, had they not? She recalled her from… somewhere and she was not near enough to the streets to think her someone from her sordid past. She would not be standing here still, were that the case. 

The weight of others death was never easy to uphold, and yet they tread on. On and on, and some days it haunts her. It haunts the teen; her smile still plagues her, how she continued to harbor hatred for the brunette for the sole reason that she reminded her of her younger days.

                              What was she to do about that?

Things could’ve been different if she wasn’t so stubborn; if she had just... Leia stops at her tracks. Her sudden halt caused the person following close behind her to bump into the teen and click their tongue. Scolding her for her action, but the Dragoon was far too deep in her thoughts to care for it at this time.

                 Never mind that it wouldn’t change things now, anyway.

                    Her realm was gone; yet she continues to mourn.

With a heavy sigh, Leia raises her gaze to see a shocking familiar figure standing a ways away. Her eyelids fluttered, thinking that the light was playing tricks on her--or it could be her insomnia affecting her. Unaware that at this point her gaze could burn a hole into the other until the other spoke, “Ah, s-sorry I didn’t mean to...”

Did she not? Was that a lie? It was certainly unintentional. “Uh, to be honest...I’m not so sure myself!” she gives them a light bashful chuckle as the teen rubbed the back of her head.

Reading those ghibli starters reminded me of how much my Leia disliked Alvin after the events of Xillia 1. I don’t think any Alvins would ever want to start from 0 with her and try to build a solid foundation.

Even Milla couldn’t help smiling just a bit when Leia got excited, though she tried to hide it. Her first inclination was to make soup, but they could always make something else. “What kinds of food do you like?”

When Leia held out her hand towards her, Milla hesitated for a long moment before finally accepting it and used Leia’s help to stand up. It was only because she had just been injured, though! If she had been in good shape, she wouldn’t have needed it!

Leia couldn’t hold back her joy; she was practically beaming, even more so when Milla accepted her assistance. “What kind of food? Mmm, hard to saaaay. I’m not really a picky eater...well the others would say it’s weird, but I kinda stuff like fruit yakisoba and soda rice.”
