STAYC girls, you’re blowing up! As u should! This personal project was supposed to come out before the release of Poppy (or after the their new logo release), but I didn’t managed to work on this then, so I have decided to come back and finish this exercise. I just think the new logo is quite something. I don’t get it. So I created some wordmark explorations, all based on each of their singles: Stereotype, Poppy, and Run 2 U. Will share their applications after I finish working on them!

The diaspora of Filipinos around the globe is driven mostly by the economics of supply and demand. The yearning for something better, stability and self-validation leads a handful of sojourners from the provinces of the Philippines into the arms of one of its former colonial masters — the USA. But what happens when they finally get what they want? And how? Filmmaker Dennis Empalmado explores the musings of Filipino expatriates and hopeful immigrants in "Naglalakbay" (Travelers). Had a great time working on Anak ng Santol! I created the title design, poster layout (Illustrations by Aldy Aguirre, photo by Belle Dinglasa), and credits layout for the trailer and in film.

Wordmark: Para Sa Bukas Na Kulay Rosas (2022)

This work is for Creatives with Leni's art book.

"A collection of visual arts that inspire us to dream and hope. All proceeds for the book will go directly to the production of campaign materials for on the ground groups and organizations that campaign for Leni, Kiko, and the whole Tropang Angat."

Started this as a personal design exercise where the goal is to show my admiration and support to Leni. To achieve this I combined certain elements from Aespa’s creative direction, Lorde’s wordmark for her Solar Power album, and I’m guessing a bit of online gaming (not sure, but I sense that’s where I got those tails for E and N). Then I also sourced for opinions where I asked if what I did was legible, if it was too messy, or are they good enough for the general public. Thankfully, many of them responded, namely: Ginoe (hello!), Jo, Naomi, Lloyd, and my SO - Clyde. Genuinely grateful for their time and opinion to this work!

Then unexpectedly this blossomed to an exciting collaboration to one of my coolest friend, Ginoe (@hubineer). Our Lady in Pink, he coined this title, created the illustration, designed the sticker set, and layout the shirt design. He blew me away with his speed and thought process, simply outstanding! Massive thanks to his efforts to make this more than it could’ve. ✨

Mas radikal magmahal! 

Made this Catalonan wordmark, a collaboration with Ferds and his team. I learned how to stabilize sculpting on Blender while making this project, happy for myself for that!

CUT THE BOLT is an exploration of a previous work of mine. While STRANGE AIRLINES is a faux travel poster inspired by Robyn’s spoken outro on Lorde’s Secrets from a Girl (Who’s seen it all).

Type63 is an initiative founded last 2020 that aims to showcase and celebrate Filipino type design–ranging from custom type for projects to fully realized typefaces, and typographic layouts.

In partnership with Shelter Fund and the Communication Design Association of the Philippines, or CDAP, Type63 curated a print collection that showcases a range of typographic works from 18 designers based in the Philippines.
