Started this as a personal design exercise where the goal is to show my admiration and support to Leni. To achieve this I combined certain elements from Aespa’s creative direction, Lorde’s wordmark for her Solar Power album, and I’m guessing a bit of online gaming (not sure, but I sense that’s where I got those tails for E and N). Then I also sourced for opinions where I asked if what I did was legible, if it was too messy, or are they good enough for the general public. Thankfully, many of them responded, namely: Ginoe (hello!), Jo, Naomi, Lloyd, and my SO - Clyde. Genuinely grateful for their time and opinion to this work!
Then unexpectedly this blossomed to an exciting collaboration to one of my coolest friend, Ginoe (@hubineer). Our Lady in Pink, he coined this title, created the illustration, designed the sticker set, and layout the shirt design. He blew me away with his speed and thought process, simply outstanding! Massive thanks to his efforts to make this more than it could’ve. ✨

STAYC girls, you’re blowing up! As u should! This personal project was supposed to come out before the release of Poppy (or after the their new logo release), but I didn’t managed to work on this then, so I have decided to come back and finish this exercise. I just think the new logo is quite something. I don’t get it. So I created some wordmark explorations, all based on each of their singles: Stereotype, Poppy, and Run 2 U. Will share their applications after I finish working on them!
All are created in Illustrator and I’m using the opportunity to explore their 3D features, which I find pretty neat.

Created a custom type and animated the chicken on Procreate. I composited this on AE. (originally supposed to be a blue chicken! direk said no so we settled with this one)
(Loop) Type Exercise - This was inspired by Caroline Polachek’s Breathless album cover, specifically the line or wave above her. Lol

This work is influenced by hyperpop aesthetics, specifically from SOPHIE's Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides and Charli XCX's Vroom Vroom EP. I find their music validating, empowering, and most of the time an escape from my daily routine.
I also unconsciously took inspiration from my previous submissions; ones that I shared and didn't, and incorporated them into this new batch. All characters were done in Adobe Illustrator, then rendered in 3D through Blender.

Output for Kris Andrew Small’s It’s Nice That (New World) workshop. Considering the short duration of time to make this and I haven’t had any sleep, this was a lot of fun to create! Aaaaand I need to work on my textures.
