Visible mending / patching, part 2.
The Signalis patch was a bit of a problem to figure out--especially since it's smaller than the extant embroidery (which I very much did not want!). I first sewed it onto a larger piece of leather, then attached that leather to the jacket itself, taking advantage of the preexisting patchwork design to really integrate them all.
(And there's something quite fitting in putting a Penrose patch on a piece of military-adjacent clothing!)
A ton of visible mending / patching now that the semester is over and I have time to spare (part 1/2).
The pair of jeans on the bottom is more of an experiment than the other two articles (which had significantly smaller tears) -- since the whole area is worn to some extent, I stitched the whole region extensively in hopes that it would benefit from the reinforcement, rather than just finding a novel place to rip.
Also, the jeans on top are in fact patched with one of the less successful HMA Palinurus prints -- it's nice to be able to repurpose things in this manner.

It may be a rambling, hallucinatory mess, but I think it's quite an enjoyable one.
24k words, four endings, two-ish weird girls, one very very broken truck, a monastery that haunts itself, and some power lines. Lots of ambient rain sounds.
