I have not seen an episode of 9-1-1 since last month, but if you think for a fucking second that Bobby Nash is dead for real? No way. 9-1-1 has thus far managed a nice balance of high-stakes, angst, and drama from seeing your faves almost die, while also knowing deep down they’ll actually be fine. I’m on the edge of my seat, invested in seeing what’s going to happen to the characters and a little bit worried about “what if…”, but not feeling genuine anxiety. There’s still some genuine suspense in every NDE, but I know that I never have to worry about my heart being completely broken by the show.

That goes completely out the window after 8x15.

Either they’ve just permanently killed off one of the most beloved characters in the show despite THE ACTOR NOT WANTING TO EXIT THE SHOW, or they bring back Bobby after all of the drama and buildup, killing the little bit of genuine suspense the show has maintained. I’m sure that 99% of the viewing audience is happy with the status-quo balance of suspense and comfort, there was no good reason for this “creative decision.”
