As for your question, I really like the concept of their friendship because Frisk would be friends with Flowey for who he is, not who he used to be. Frisk never met Asriel before he died, so they don’t have this idea of what he’s supposed to be like the way others do.
it’s something that I don’t like about those “saved Asriel AU’s” since they basically revert Flowey’s character to how he was before he died. But realistically he’d still struggle with a lot of his violent/detached mentality even after the true pacifist route, so I think exploring how he could still have positive relationships even after everything he’s done and been through (contributing to eventual character development) is an interesting idea.
on Frisk’s end, I think they would really value being friends with Flowey since he’s the only other person who remembers resets and what it’s like to have the power to change fate. He’s the only one who could ever even come close to understanding how they feel about it, and in a way Flowey knows Frisk the best out of everyone as he remembers everything, not just in the current timeline. And obviously Frisk knows Flowey the best out of everyone too, since they’re the only one to know who he used to be.
but yeah I think them being friends in a post pacifist Flowey-pot au type setting is the best thing ever the children should get to be silly with each other me thinks
