Bro, devilman Crybaby HAD to be anti Ryo Asuka propaganda. It was like a whole other character 😭. When I first read the manga after watching DMCB first, I was pretty shocked at how much emotions he was showing and his visible concern for Akira. He was straight up crying when he told Akira that he had to merge with Amon, but in DMCB he fr just gave him a pat on the back. They COMPLETELY changed his motives for aiding the demons too. 2018 ryo just saved them because of their simple way of living (kill or be killed), whereas og Ryo aided them because he thought that God had no right to dictate what should or shouldn't exist just cuz their nature disgusted him. His fuckass design was them trying to convince us that he's ugly. Straight up propaganda, which ended up working cuz everyone in the DMCB fandom HATES my king Ryo 😢
