I got it back, surprisingly after 2 to 3 years of disuse, the strings don't sound like ass. bad news? It reeks of cigarette smoke. I DON'T SMOKE! Anyone got any ideas on a remedy?

An OT did a video analysis on my arm while doing some tests to see where improvements in function. Now to see what the surgeon thinks, The waiting game continues.

I got it in tune and it didnt take 3 hours, yay! Practicing went ok as far as making random noises went...

I spent 3 hours trying to tune a guitar. I did use an online tuner. the tuning pegs were hard to turn. Mixed results, Some were slightly sharp and some were flat of the target notes and i probably annoyed everyone else around me for those 3 hours.

So I ask around on FB for guitar help, I connect with a guy whos an andy mckee/tapping style player who seems nice but as I want to talk to him more and get his advice hes busy because he just got a gig as  a substitute guitarist for a  big alt-rock band. So I tell him about my issue and he guesses cerebral palsy and he advocates for me to learn slide. The only problem is I dont listen to anything with slide guitar and he advised me to tune to his tuning when the guitar hasnt been touched in months and he says “You dont need that” when I ask him to tune to standard.and he asks to speak to someone on his level which at this point is code for douchebag. the nurse who brought me the guitar from the closet said “he’s a jerk”., and I put it back in the closet.

I'm going to give him another chance because he's a friend of a friend and is being very nice to me. I hope we can reschedule and this  next time he WILL show up,

I rescheduled with the friend of my best friend for tmrw. Let’s see where this goes...

So I had  a friend of my best friend offered to give me a guitar lesson. The only thing was despite giving him all the information necessary in order to find me, he failed to nail down a time in which he would be able to come in the parameters of where I live. I later found out at 6:30 PM that day that he got called into work. I understand he got called into work, but it would've been nice tell me sooner.

I call this blog operation guitarborg because I have a disability and I feel like a cyborg, unable to walk,  and social cues and relationships are difficult for me to navigate, and I only have efficient use of one of my hands, I don’t care if I suck. I  just wanna play.
