An Epiphone EJ-200 acoustic guitar, serial # S94070027, previously owned and played by Noel Gallagher: principal songwriter and guitarist of the band Oasis. Guitar features fretboard inlays and Gibson’s decorative vine and flowers design on the pickguard. Lot includes letter of authenticity on Oasis and Creation Records letterhead signed by Noel Gallagher. Letter dated August 3, 1996, states “…guitar was used by Noel when he was writing songs for the album (What’s the Story Morning Glory) [sic].” Guitar is autographed by Noel Gallagher on the body, inscribed with a paint pen. Letter also states the guitar “can be seen in the “Wonderwall" promotional video.” Note: the official video for “Wonderwall” features numerous guitars similar in appearance to this EJ-200, and some which were covered with decorative craft paper that consequently obscured portions of the instruments. Guitar in excellent condition, includes case and letter of authenticity signed by Gallagher.
