Ask my muse questions about their relationship with another character.
"Yeah. Sometimes...feels like the universe is playing a huge joke on me."
Another soft exhale, thumbing along the stitching at the end of his sweater absently, even for the summer he dressed as he was used to, baggy and comfortable. The teen found himself rarely leaving anyways, only to make runs for food or to check in on his father down the way.
Such a mundane way of living, but it was steady. He didn't care much for anything too exciting.
"Dunno if I would say he treated me well at first, he tried to kill me." As blunt as it was, the answer wasn't a lie. Megumi had fought for his life on more than one occasion, and this was certainly no exception. The aftermath was...a bit of a blur, however.
Probably due to the head injury. (Was not the first, nor the last.)
"You remember that man who emerged from my domain? That was him."
The sentiment was something that he'd heard before--Fushiguro occasionally made concerning comments. They were usually the beginning of conversations held after the times Fushiguro tagged along, observing his work.
Nanami wasn't a teacher, or family to Fushiguro, but he'd let the student work with him, and he'd mentored him when they'd done so. That, and he'd seen the boy when he'd come back to work as a sorcerer--he was Gojo's kid, after all.
At least, that was the only guardian Nanami had known for the shadow sorcerer, until now.
The shock of the man emerging from the domain was blurred somewhat in his mind, but he eventually found the face of the man in his memories. It was the same man that separated Fushiguro from him in the first place.
Ah. The man who attacked Fushiguro. After entering the curse's domain. That man.
He frowned.
"I see. Would you explain more about what he's done since then?"
@divinetotality
Nanami had been making his way slowly through some of the summer activities--most of them didn't appeal to him, being games with things like pool noodles, or dragon banquets. Still, there were apparently things to be gained from some of them.
He stopped short in front of what appeared to be a magical forest--he cringed at the thought. He certainly wasn't taking the prize. Bunny ears.
He had been about to move on, when he spotted a familiar face. He approached, map in hand.
"Fushiguro. Are you planning on participating?"
@hallowedpurple
The midday sun beat down hard on him, only slightly blocked by the umbrella shielding him from the worst of it.
Nanami had spent an hour on the beach, reading by the shoreline. A pair of sunglasses perched on his nose, to block the glare. He hadn't actually re-applied his sunscreen yet, he might consider a break to do that.
Shutting his book, he left it on the chair, and made his way to the vendors. He brought his own water, so the shaved ice might be fine. Not too overpoweringly sweet.
He spotted Gojo waiting in line, and figured he might as well approach.
"I thought you'd burn under heat like this."

Wild to me that nobody on the Internet seems to have compared the Sonozaki sisters to the Zen'in sisters. Down to being twins with a vastly opposite relationship to their insular clan.

𝐦𝐞𝐰 - "Did I do something wrong? Why do you keep looking at mew like that?" He was definitely looking at her, right? Why were humans like this!? But in moments like these she had to show confidence, right?
"What's wrong? Never seen a real life anime cat girl before, mew~?"
Oh, a cosplayer.
Nanami didn't think there were any conventions in this place. It wasn't exactly Akihabara. The girl must be really excited to meet Hatsune Miku, though. Nanami saw ads for the....whatever the character was supposed to be all the time.
There were also a lot of blue wigs on Halloween, but he was a little too busy trying not to burn to death at the time to notice what they were.
He'd gotten a lecture from Itadori once about the fact that Hatsune Miku wasn't from a kid's show. He still wasn't sure about that.
Still, the more he looked, it became pretty apparent that she wasn't in costume. Like the grey elf, he guessed. Just another...strange happenstance of this world.
"Can't say I have." Was she like one of those kid's shows where the girls turn into superheroes? From one of those? He remembered Sailor Moon back in the day, the girls in his class had the toys. There was also that block where Kamen Rider shared Pretty Cure, that was around when he was a kid.
"So are you a superhero?"
Edward Picks Nanami up, place him at a sofa inside Edward's own apartment. Congratulations, you are now kidnapped. "Next time, dont sleep on the sidewalk."
The star curse had appeared again.
This time, rather than appearing on his tongue, it appeared on the back of his hand.
He recognized what was happening almost immediately. The regular flow of cursed energy had been disrupted. He couldn't feel it circulating in his system.
This was. Not good at all.
A suppression of energy he could deal with. He could...
He blinked again, and seconds had passed. No. No, this was different. This was not just a suppression. His muscles twitched against his will, his thumb hitting the lock screen on his phone. Alright. This was a weakness curse of some kind. That meant he had a limited time before he could pass out.
On his phone contacts, he hit his favorites. His vision started to blur. People bumped into him on the sidewalk, some giving annoyed glances. Alphabetically, Fushiguro was at the top. He hit the boy's icon, and decided against it. He didn't want to ask the teenager to drop everything and help him. That hesitation was about two seconds too much, however.
Nanami's eyes rolled back, and he dropped to the ground.
-
Hours later, he awoke in an unfamiliar place. An unfamiliar ceiling. For a half of a second, he thought he was in another hotel room, after being sent out on a Grade 1 mission.
The unfamiliar voice spoke.
Nanami hissed between his teeth, still feeling the restriction on his energy. He sat up, and held his head in his hands.
"If you have any ill intentions, let me go, and nobody has to get hurt." He said, tersely.
He really wasn't in the mood to die a second time.

happy nanami day to those who celebrate 🌊✨
"Yes, Maki and Yuuta recently put in a request for us to live together, so it's very comfortable as of late."
He guides the taller into the apartment, letting him get comfortable and stepping into the kitchen to glance through their fridge. A mixture of health drinks, veggie juices, sodas, and protein shakes greeted him before Toge makes a small humming in his throat.
"Probably should have asked first, would you like something hot or cold to drink? I can make some tea to go with the sweets I made recently for Maki."
He was still making lunches for both of them, a small habit he picked up while still at Jujutsu Tech. Considering their unpredictable schedules, it helped when he could remind his friends not to skip meals.
Nanami allowed himself to be guided, following the Cursed Speech User into his home. The second years of Jujutsu Tech seemed to take good care of the place. It was neat and tidy, and, judging by the brief glimpse he got as he walked to the table, stocked well.
He took a seat, arms folded across his chest in a resting position. He didn't intend to stay too long--it was more of a visit for tea, than anything else.
Inumaki seemed to be a good host. He wondered, some, if he was also trained in manners and etiquette before he came to the school.
"Black tea, if you have it." He could always use the extra caffeine. "No sugar or milk."
He remembered something he'd heard a couple of times about Inumaki in passing.
"I hear you pull pranks."
A part of Megumi wanted to be honest, as he had nothing to hide from someone like the fellow sorcerer. However, what seemed to overpower it was the itch along the back of the teen's spine, to not cause worry for one of his mentors right out the gate. But...the question was posed, and he had to contemplate an answer regardless.
His state was obvious, dressed leisurely but the scars were still evident along his facial structure. He never bothered covering them up, why would he?
"When I arrived, it was fresh off the battlefield. So some of those wounds still ache, I think they always will until the day I pass."
Deep pools of teal remain downcast until they crawl back up to meet Nanami's own gaze, wondering briefly what might have occurred for him to never see the other again after Shibuya. There weren't any visible wounds, no scars...he looked as pristine as ever.
"But I'm fine. I talked with Gojo, got him a key to my place if he wants to visit." A pause, "I-uh-met my dad?"
Nanami listened.
It was...refreshing, to have someone talk to him openly, without having to pull things out. But Fushiguro was like that--despite the fact that he felt a need to push himself, he was always receptive to being talked to reasonably.
"You'll learn to live with them, in time. The ache never goes away, not completely. I won't lie and say that. But you'll learn to live with it."
Fushiguro looked down and away from him, for a while. He didn't push Fushugiro for an answer. He trusted that the younger sorcerer would talk when he was ready.
As always, it was returned.
Fushiguro had some new facial scarring, all along his eyes. He'd mentioned coming straight off of a battlefield. Nanami couldn't quite remember if Gojo mentioned how people who hadn't died came here. Nanami tried to place why the facial scarring was familiar. He couldn't quite put a finger on it.
"Your biological father?" He asked, for clarification. Nanami...wasn't sure how he felt about that. It wasn't his place to say, anyway. It was between father and son. "I hope he's treated you kindly."
Ah. Perhaps he should say something.
"You can still always come to me if you need it. I'm retired at the moment, so don't worry about my schedule."
Clambering down the hall spooked him further into his cell. Cursing the fact that he couldn't call upon even the surveillance curses he had regained control over.
Someone or something ducked into his space.
Fuck! Fuck, fuck, fuck.
Instincts kicked in and he slid out from where he was ducked. Prepared to fight.
Then, recognition hit as the other turned to face him. Weapon at the ready. Tension so thick in the air between them.
Nanami.
They hadn't even talked face to face yet. Only the messages over the phone were what they had to go off of.
A truce. The extension of the barest amount of trust.
They had to work together to get out of here.
"Right. Let's see if we can find him again. All I've got is my martial arts, so we've got to make do with that weapon of your's."
It was the first time he'd talked to Geto in years, face to face. The first time he'd held a conversation with the man since he was still in school.
And they were on the moon, running from robots.
Life had a funny way of doing things. Or maybe it was the fact that they were both dead. That was also an acceptable reason.
Nanami didn't bother bringing up the past this time. There was no reason to. They hadn't forgotten, they both knew where they stood.
As long as they had a shared goal, and a shared enemy, they could work together.
"I came from the left side. They're going to be coming that way. Sounds like you don't have any curses right now." That was annoying. Right when Geto wasn't his current enemy, he doesn't have the very thing that made him as dangerous as he was.
He'd think the man was doing it on purpose at this point if it wasn't getting the man in trouble himself.
"I'm slower because of an injury. Front, or back?"
Just going to be enjoying the sunlight on the beach from a chair, his birthday book in hand.

Nanami was right - he should have been able to see through a silly maze. Instead, he's been running around feeling spectacularly like a rat trying to find the specific path that rewards him with a nice treat and a scratch behind his ears. It felt like the walls were closing in, especially after he'd had to fight back against one of the multi-legged robotic guards crawling around.
Something told him he didn't have much time to benefit from Infinity. How....annoying.
When Nanami nearly slams into him, he puts a hand out to catch the blond's shoulder to hold him, fingers tightened on him before he dusts him off. Satoru was alone, no students trailing on his heel like ducklings this time.
The comment takes a minute to register before Satoru laughs, showing an expression that showed far too much teeth.
"Ha! Ha. You're funny, Nanamin." He pats him once before his hands draw back to cross over his chest instead. "Best avoid running too loudly in the halls - the hall monitors are very strict around here."
He drops his hands, finally giving Kento a look at a gash on Satoru's palm from tearing one of the robots he'd run into apart. It was still bleeding sluggishly into the dark fabric of his coat.
"They don't really care if you have a bathroom pass, so! Maybe we should stick together. There's supposedly a room where we can get out, but we have to get out of this maze first."
Nanami had already been planning on asking Gojo to work with him, from the moment he'd spotted the man. He only had a wooden weapon, not even anything particularly hard or sharp.
Gojo seemed...stressed about the situation. A little too touchy. He was always a touchy person, a little invasive on the best of days, but the too-wide smile and repeated grabbing and brushing and stabling him gave him a little pause.
The gash on his hand and the fact that he didn't hear the faint, familiar buzz gave him an idea of what Gojo might be stressed about. That was a little surprising. But then, this place had suppressed his own technique. That was concerning.
Gojo almost always tagged along with him whenever it was a concern for Nanami's sake.
Maybe there was something here he should be worried about.
"I don't know if Okkotsu told you, by the way, but the curse Itadori and I had been tracking popped up in my area. It hasn't caused any major incidents as far as I saw, and it ignored passerby's. But it might also be in this place."
He turned to the third hallway opening.
"I only have my energy manipulation. We'll have to keep to martial combat. If that's fine with you, I'll come along."
@hereicomesanfrandisco
So he was apparently getting a new roommate.
While Nanami didn't particularly have any interest in his roommates, having honestly never spoken to the others, a new person was mildly interesting.
The man--a tall one--had been the one he spotted in passing. Nanami prepared instant coffee in the morning. Half a pot sat on the warmer. Good roommate etiquette, was what he was told.
"You're the new person." He addressed the man, as he heard footsteps. "What is your name?"
