I'm Adoptable! PLEASE SHARE! Barrow is a tank with a super sensitive side! He follows the pack around (including his foster siblings!) until it's nap time, then he cuddles up in his bed. Bonus points if you cover him up! He's learning the basics, loves to explore, and is motivated by treats & cuddles! As in many of these cases, Barrow's pregnant mother had been dumped in a rural area & the puppies were born underneath a house. They managed to survive our record-breaking snowstorm & other adversities, so they are tough little ones! They were born around the end of January 2021. I guess I will never be able to tell you why this happened but my rescuer says I am a really good girl with very few issues-oh except cats who I love to tease. I need a home with Dixon who I love, love, love. But if there is another pet in the home I may be convinced it’s all good to separate us. I'm Adoptable! PLEASE SHARE! Boy, has Stevie’s life changed! She was dumped on a busy neighborhood street and was seeking shelter under the parked cars. She wouldn’t allow anyone to put a leash on her, but an OOTW volunteer was able to lure her into a kennel with turkey. After just one day in a loving environment, her true personality blossomed. She is loving and playful now that she has gotten to know her foster. When meeting new people and new dogs, it takes her about 24 hours to warm up. We think she is around five or six years old and is the size of a small basset hound. Stevie currently weighs 25lbs but could stand a few more. Stevie even has the short Bassett legs. She seems fine with other small dogs (once she knows them), but is a little intimidated by large dogs. We don’t know how she is around children at this point. She is very smart and has already learned how to use a doggie door. Stevie sleeps quietly in her kennel at night. Unfortunately, she has tested positive for heartworms, but OOTW will provide for that. Approximately 1-2 years old Gideon is a young guy with a lot of love to give. He’s a great companion that just wants to be loved and watch TV with you. He came to OOTW after being found abandoned in the woods. Fortunately his foster found him when they did because Snowpocalypse 2021 happened the day after! We love seeing where our fosters end up and all the fun places they get to visit with their new families. "This is Charlie. He was rescued from an abandoned home by our foster as a small puppy. He was living in a dirty mattress and some nice person left him some dog food. OOTW had him in the program for almost a year with little interest so we transported him in March. The foster with the transport rescue took him in and feel so in love, she adopted him last week. It was fate! Now he has rule of the house and just visited the beach for the first time. His sister Luna (pictured top right) was rescued with her brother Scooby by the same foster as Charlie. She was in a very bad way then, but she has come such a long way! She has been spayed and microchipped and her wounds are healed. Lady is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, she needs a home with no other dogs, she has not been kitty tested, but she loves people. She is eager to please and listens well . She is a big puppy and loves to play and chew on toys! . She is good with kids but she does have a lot of energy at times!
