Why hadn't Elsa say before that she didn't want to be queen? That she heard voices? She would have understood. She is her sister.

Elsa smiled dreamily and was gone with the wind, the Forest took her.

"Anna, I'm sorry...but I can't live a lie anymore. I'll lose myself if I stay there. It's better for everyone, for you first." Kristoff never said it, he was always quiet and keeping things to himself, but she knew he wanted to. Why hadn't he said before that he hated Arendelle? She would have thought of something. She was his fiancée.

But what could she do when none turned to love what she loved?

Kristoff pressed his lips tightly and walked away, and the Mountains hid him.

Anna was left alone. She turned away and looked down at the Arenfjord. There in ruins lay the wrecks of her hometown, washed away by the wrath of the water. With no one but her to care, to heal and rebuild it all over again. Her people needed her. She is the only one that has stayed with them.

"Anna?" Olaf called timidly and held out his cute tiny twig hand to her.

Anna painfully swallowed her tears and let the truth settle in her heart. Love has always been her, so close, it was not in someone, not in a prince, a highlander or even in a sister, it was here in her to share, to pour, to save herself and everyone. For Anna love has always been about giving, never receiving. She took Olaf's hand and squeezed it.

In this masterpiece of a scene, so much happens in a split second. Anna freezes completely, thus preventing Hans from doing any harm with his sword to her. We all know this, it was perfect timing that her turning to ice happened just before his sword came down on her. The sword shatters and a magical blast incapacitates Hans, taking out the antagonist and the weapon. Can you imagine if Hans was not taken out? He would have gone on to kill Elsa with the stump of his sword and fabricated some explanation about Anna to the council of dignitaries.

But in the midst of all that, I'd like to point out something easily missed. Go back to the start when Anna ran. Did you realize that Anna did not know that she would freeze right at that moment? Think about it for a second. That's right, Anna had no way of knowing. She saw Elsa in danger, and she ran madly to her defense. She loved Elsa so much that she would take a blade for her, even if she would bleed, lose a limb, or even die. For Elsa.

Anna also gave up the life saving kiss from Kristoff, her one chance at unfreezing (from her perspective) . She had no way of knowing that she would unfreeze later on.
