Ubuntu 15.10 Workspace Switcher Desktop Wall & Window Spread
This was done on a cheap Acer Aspire E-11 for anybody who is interested. I picked it up as a spare as it has great battery life (7-8 hours) so great for taking with you if you're going out for the day.
The Workspace switcher & window spread can both be enabled easily using the Unity Tweak tool you can find in the software centre. The Desktop Wall (The one where you see me dragging the Windows across virtual screens) can be enabled via the Compizconfig Settings Manager which you will also find in the software centre.
Performance on this little machine is very quick and the screen capture doesn't do it justice as it's only a Dual Core Celeron with a 5400rpm hard disk so hitting it with a screen recorder on top of everything else doesn't give the best frame rates. With an SSD (you can buy this laptop with an SSD) you'd get much better results.
