It took me four hours because I am ignorant of how to do most things on computers, and Apple hates to share, and Linux is kinda spoopy.
But here we are with the trial run of Linux (Ubuntu) on my Mac.

Well that was unnecessarily exciting - I restarted my laptop to install a new update package, and apparently the update from Linux kernel 5.7.19 to 5.8.7 completely fucked over my keyboard and mouse inputs. Thank goodness my little machine is a two-in-one so I was able to use the touchscreen (which somehow wasn’t affected) to fumble through what I needed in order to reboot from the older kernel version. As a result, TIL about the GRUB menu.
