Hey guys, I finally found my way back into writing! The reason for that may have been the lovely @oh-come-to-daddy who writes amazing imagines. So I kind of thought I could write her a nice little imagine about our dear Henry. It kind of developed into a multi chapter work and I have absolutely no idea how that happened.   Anyway, here we go! I hope you enjoy the first part and if you do, I would be really happy if you guys could leave me prompts :)

Part 1

Your day has been an absolute disaster. First you spilled your coffee on your clean shirt, then you couldn’t find your shoes because your cat took off with them again and then you missed the subway, which led to an extra 5 minute delay. Now you’re trying to figure out how in the world you’re going to explain to your boss that you’re late. Again. And you’re not even an unpunctual person. It just so happens that you are the victim of cat planned robbery and vicious coffee that likes your shirt way more than the mug it’s supposed to be in.

But let’s take a look at the positive things in life. You changed into a clean white shirt that matches your black jeans and the heels you’re wearing for work and you made it to the office only 20 minutes late.

Not too bad right? Well it gets bad the minute you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to the taxi driver for a short ride that definitely could’ve been avoided and the prospect of facing your boss. Not that you’re scared of him. But he can be extremely intimidating. Especially when people are late for the Monday morning meeting where he usually gives out this week’s assignments. But yeah, don’t forget to think positive. You make your way through the marble hallway of the sleek modern building you work in and step into the elevator which brings you up to the 10th floor. As you step into the corridor you can already hear your boss fuming about your colleague Linda, who sometimes manages to fall asleep during meetings. It’s not easy to work for one of the city’s biggest newspapers (which often required you to work late on the weekends to finish an article or cover certain events) and stay awake on Monday mornings. But as much as you’ll whine and moan about your job- you love it with all of your heart. Since you came to London for the first time as a student, you’ve been sure that you’d never want to live or work somewhere else.

You try to slowly and stealthy make your way into the conference room without your boss noticing, but no such luck. As soon as you step through the open door, he gives you a death glare and begins to concentrate all his energy to give you the biggest yell at of all time. You try to ready yourself but nothing could have prevented you from the feeling of surprise and utter disbelieve at what he says. “Y/N! I can’t believe you manage to come late on the one day I actually want to reward you for good behaviour and give you an interesting assignment!”

Just to clear things up, your boss has never ever given you an assignment he actually deemed worthy of the word ‘interesting’. The stories you usually cover include rescued kittens, school plays or bake sales. A robbery or local politics here and there. All the really ‘interesting’ stories were the ones you found yourself (not that he approves of you going out and finding stories for yourself). Feeling cautious hope blooming in your chest you look at your boss, expecting him to say he was just kidding you. But no, he actually looks serious when he begins to explain. “You know that they’re shooting most parts of this new comic book movie in London, right? What’s it called again?”

Your heart jumps in your chest when you tentatively ask “Justice League?” and he nods like this is what he was going to say. “Yeah, this one. Anyway, they were asking to send reporters over for a tour of the set and a first press relief. I thought of you ‘cause you’re always running around with your batman shirts plus your last few articles weren’t actually that bad.”

You’re not sure if you can trust your ears. Did your boss just tell you that you were going to be on the set of Justice League to get exclusive insights? This just sounds too good to be true. But he’s right. You are the perfect girl for the job. You love DC Comics and Batman has been your favourite superhero for as long as you remember. And now you are actually going to see where the magic happens and your dreams come to life!

“There’s been a bit of a sad moment for her. She’s sitting on a car, waiting for everyone to come out, and she’s clearly been upset. The guys come out of the building and Harley turns around and kinda just wipes away the tears and is suddenly happy again. I was just like “Oh god, she’s hurting so much but she’s making a joke.” That is so what women do. It’s like, women totally do that for the sake of not making it uncomfortable for family members, to like, put on a brave face for their kids. I watched my mom, I watched so many women in my life, and it’s just like, they will swallow all of that and just… Women are tough, man.“
