saying “dean and sam are equally obsessive/abusive” when it’s canon that sam would’ve died locked up in the panic room because of dean’s decision is crazy (also don’t forget the fact that locking sam up was also about punishing him). it’s so obvious that some people are desperately trying to compare incomparable situations because they think sam should be the “more fucked up one” despite all the evidence (dean’s “if tables were turned…i’d let you rot in here. hell, i have let you rot in here” vs sam’s “yeah, well…i guess i’m not that smart”) that it’s the other way around when it comes to their relationship

see, season one is sam thinking dean loves john more than he loves him & dean thinking sam hates john more than he loves him. and season two is about the realization that they love each other more than anything, including their own anger.
