“More than ready.” Allison smiled, pulling Derek’s hand to her, and kissing the back of it as a thank you. Doing as she was told and lifting her shirt, relaxing as she answered questions about how she was, and asked a few things she was unsure of. She squirmed slightly as the gel was put on her stomach, looking at Derek nervously, before turning her attention to the monitor by the bed, listening to the heartbeat as it appeared, watching the figure on the screen moving.

Derek watched in silence as the doctor gave instructions and prepared Allison for the ultrasound; holding her hand tightly throughout the whole thing. Whenever the huntress looked at him, Derek gave her a reassuring smile, and squeezed her hand lightly. When the sound of the baby’s heartbeat intensified - the gentle thudding sound Derek had been hearing for months now - it was all the werewolf could do not to tear up. The last time he’d heard that sound was when his mother had been pregnant with León.

“Uh-huh, you could do that, huh? Wouldn’t that victory be even better if you make me come from your words alone, and then I admit defeat, lying in my own mess?” Stiles resisted shivering at the hum and teeth along his ear shell. Derek was like a stonewall when Derek wanted to be, but Stiles could see the alpha starting to at least get into this now, despite those damned eyebrows. Who does that? Eyebrow game so strong Stiles couldn’t talk back (with his eyebrows) or anything.

Alpha werewolf. Self-control made of steel. There was no way in hell Stiles was going to manage to talk circles around Derek to make him forget what it was he was looking for here; an admission of defeat. The wolf wasn’t going to take this any further until he got what he wanted. Then, and only then, would he be willing to give the human exactly what he wanted in return.
