One Of The Few

I feel dumber than the collective.

Unsure of what I should or could be doing…

And that’s the core of why I’m sad.

Just re-downloaded this app for the umpteenth time, and it’s riddled with ads.

Like same ad 3 times within scrolling for 5 seconds.

Your priorities shift when you plan on staying straight, but life says oh no wait, make a hard left here.

Something is happening in our lives and it’s scary. 

Lots of things have happened over the years where it impacts the person I love the most, and there isn’t anything I can do but be there.

I have a really hard time accepting that. 

The helplessness. 

She knows I’m here. She knows I’m always going to be here. But I just wish I could do more. If I could take all the pain on my shoulders I would.

I’m so extremely proud of this woman.

Making moves and taking steps to live life on her terms, not anyone else’s.

She has grown so much since I met her, and I’m lucky to be a part of her story.

She’s so full of life, even when those around her try to take it out of her.

She can’t, and won’t be stopped. There are of course hard times, and times where you can’t see the light, but she always gets through them in the end.
