I do hope there is a season four of leverage redemption which I enjoy more than leverage simply because Harry Wilson is such a fun character. formerly evil lawyer guy turned theater nerd (tell me he didn't love playing all those different roles) with a penchant for old-fashioned courting and he definitely should be Sophie's last because they understand each other as friends and as people who loved and lost
Look, I appreciate what you guys are trying to do, but just – if you don’t get out of here now, then – then I’m gonna kill you myself when this is over. So just… just get out!

Tara Carlisle
Episode: 2x09 The Lost Heir Job
Character: Tara
I checked you out, Mr. Ford. Half my sources say you're a vicious thief. The other half claim you're some sort of high-tech vigilante.
I like that. I should put that on my card.
There's a process to get Ruth Walton justice. It's called the probate court.
Right. The probate court, where Ruth will walk in with a sad story and no executed will. Yeah, let me know how that goes for you.
Okay. I know we're in trouble. But the only reason I let Ruth come to you is on the condition that I know everything you're doing.

Summary: “You’ve been keeping secrets, our Mr. Wilson.” (Set some time in S3, with spoilers up to Weekend in Paris Job.)
Would it make more sense to run these from the start to the end of the month? Probably. Am I impatient? Yes. Did I just look up when The Nigerian Job aired, intending to use whichever day of the month it was as our start date, only to find it's today? Also yes. So here we go!
Please do read and comment on other people's fics if you can, once you've popped yours up or if you don't want to write for this round - it keeps the energy up. This round officially lasts until the end of the 6th of August (in your timezone) but you can keep posting after that, there will just be another collection and new prompts as well.
Here's the vault collection. Your prompts, should you choose to accept any or all of them, are:
-
THE NIGERIAN JOB
Start: I checked.
End: We provide... leverage.
-
THE HOMECOMING JOB
Start: All right sweetheart, we are near Najaf, I’m not allowed to say exactly where.
End: Totally midlife crisis.
-
THE WEDDING JOB
Start: Thanks, I'll see you.
End: Make a little room there.
-
THE SNOW JOB
Start: No wait, you do not understand.
End: Give me a reason to stay.
-
THE MILE HIGH JOB
Start: Al Haldeman laughed us out of his offices.
End: I still don't understand how you can mix up Paris and Tuscany.
-
THE MIRACLE JOB
Start: Do you know the speech?
End: St. Nicholas… is the patron saint of thieves.
-
THE TWO-HORSE JOB
Start: Dad!
End: Neither will I.
-
We're doing 7/13 in the first round because some of them are hard, and we're going in the order on Leverage, Seriously because for our purposes the order doesn't matter and it makes it easier for me to keep track. Thanks to them for the scripts, I really didn't want to top and tail every episode via DVD myself.
I've already yelled about this at certain people, but I gotta yell again.
I'm working on a fic section that's set during Mastermind Job, and I've always loved that Harry of all people goes to talk to Sophie about the Mastermind book, where Sophie complains about not being important to the story, and I'm obsessed with the way he says "Now we KNOW this guy's a fake. There's no way Nate Ford felt that way."
That is SO romantic to me.
Harry's certainty that a man he's never even met would have felt that way about Sophie is so beautiful to me. He could have asked, "Do you really think your husband felt that way about you?" instead, or just hinted at it in some way so Sophie would come to the conclusion herself. But he's so sure a man he doesn't even know would never feel that Sophie Devereaux wasn't "important to the story" because she's so important to HIS story, right from the start.

Doooooes anyone want to have a go at Literary Taxidermy but Leverage? Happy to run it as a regular fandom game. Just running an interest check (non-binding).
Explanation below the cut.
Would you be interested in trying this out?
Yes - let's go steal a writing challenge
I don't want to write it but I'd read others' stories
No, this doesn't appeal to me
Voting ended onJul 7
For the uninitiated, Regulus Press run (ran?) a competition where they gave everyone the first and last lines of a well-known piece of writing (we'd be using Leverage episodes). For example, since I have The Boost Job script open:
THE BOOST JOB
Start: …and if you’re just joining us, we’re following New Hampshire police as they're in pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
End: No, it's my car.
Players then take those first and last lines and "stuff" them (hence the name) with a new story. It doesn't matter what goes in the middle as long as you leave the first and last lines as they are (punctuation and emphasis are fair game though).
A couple of short examples for the above:
"…and if you’re just joining us, we’re following New Hampshire police as they're in pursuit of a stolen vehicle," Hardison narrated gleefully.
"Dammit, Hardison!" Eliot slammed his hand on the dashboard of the police cruiser. "This is enough to make me miss that song you used to sing."
"Can't sing that. We're not in Lucille." Parker pointed out from the back seat, and Hardison nodded.
"Good point, mama. Besides, it would be rude to sing when you're so clearly having some kind of conniption. I'm just glad it's not my van we're chasing."
Eliot generally tried not to snarl at his crew, on account of knowing how terrifying he could be, but now he snarled and growled.
"No, it's my car."
-
"…and if you’re just joining us, we’re following New Hampshire police as they're in pursuit of a stolen vehicle."
Sophie switched off the radio with a swift stab at the button and turned to Harry with a smile.
"Now where were we?" She pulled him into another deep kiss, and when they broke apart her eyes were sparkling. "Is this a rental? Do we need to worry about cleaning fees?"
Harry blinked at her, dazed and more than a little aroused.
