snw season three is coming out this week and i can’t help but think about how tied to engineering uhura’s storyline has been and how important her love of engineering is - that through hemmar and their mutual love for engineering she was able to work through her trauma and heal. and how her song about finding herself was sung in the engineering bay.

and the very next episode after her song, scotty, THEE engineer of star trek, gets introduced. even if they don’t go the romance route (but i really hope they do!!!) i want them to at least have a good friendship! none of the relationships in tos were really developed outside of kirk/spock/mccoy but i consider scotty/uhura to be a pair the same way that sulu/chekov is.
