regardless of where you are or what you've been through, the struggle to bend towards the light of community and self care, pushing back against the worst of the powers that be, overcoming the anxiety of putting yourself in the line of fire, grappling with the chronic dizziness of the speed of life... it is inevitably and unfortunately yet winnably relatable. my shadowboxing match with these unseen factors is self-narrated, a new and terrifying experience (for me, hopefully not for you). this was art therapy: recovery from a bout of ptsd, flashbacks, psychosis, burnout, it having resurfaced meant my mind felt safe enough to let it out. i've come a long way to feel this safe and i'm blessed to be this loved. healing isn't linear, it's not fully over, but i have a new warm glow and hum of progress that is flickering less and less into an eventual fullness. i think there's something relatable, therapeutic, enjoyable here i'm 23 now. i've revivified a lot in that time but revivifying myself may be my most exciting challenge yet. if you're where i'm at, have been where i'm at, or have been alive, i humbly think this is worth a listen. i hope you'll join me on this extremely personal journey; i think it just might make your journey better.

very excited to release leaving home made easy to the world.  it slowly formed over the five years it took alex and i, and a whole lot of others, to start answering the question of “where.”  it’s a love letter to our hometown, a trial-and-error log and maybe even accidental guidebook on how to whittle out a life for yourself, and a manifesto for what needs to be done with what can’t be taken away.
