introduction: single muse account for raven roth from dc comics + related dc media. typically written to be in her early-mid thirties and older. will not write her as a teenager/young adult unless it's plotted.
age range. please have an age range listed somewhere on your blog. the youngest i will interact with is 25 and up. however, if you were following me before i changed this rule from 21+ to 25+ and you are at least twenty - two years of age, you are welcome to stick around.please understand that this rule change is not meant as any kind of slight against anyone. i decided to change it for my own personal comfort.
following and unfollowing. the idea is to keep this blog small, so iโm not going to follow everyone back. periodically i may decide to go through my follower list and unfollow archived blogs or accounts that i no longer see myself interacting with. if this happens with you, do not take it personally. however, it should be noted that sometimes tumblr can be glitch-y and unfollow mutuals for me without my knowledge. so if you see me re-follow you, this means that i probably thought that it was due to that. if you do not want to follow/interact with me anymore, i ask that you hardblock me. if you have me discord, i also ask that you take me off of it when/if that's what you decide to do. this is to avoid potential for awkward/unwanted interaction.
memes. i adore sending and being sent prompts. itโs the best way to interact with me given that i rarely do starter calls. i do have a habit of sending multiple asks out of excitement, however. if this is not your thing, or if it stresses / overwhelms you, please tell me and i will ease up. remember that you do not need to answer everything i send to you.ย
formatting: i do use small text as far as formatting goes. if this is an issue for you & you need me to use normal text, please let me know!
as for my own rule on formatting, please do not use excessive spacing / colored text in replies to me. i don't mind it in a sentence or two, but please do not do so beyond that, as my eyes are not the greatest.
icons. i use icons for most of my muses. however, that being said, i don't use icons with every single character. i just don't have the energy.
portrayal: raven is primarily comics based, but carries influences from headcanons & bits of the cartoons. my take on her might not align completely with canonical material. please respect this & keep it in mind when writing with me.
mains & exclusives. i donโt really practice mains or exclusives. absolutely no disrespect to anyone who does. i get it. but personally, itโs not my thing.
original characters. i love ocs, man. and if i see anyone being shitty about them or the lovely muns that write them, iโm blocking.
witchcraft. raven is a witch/magic user in canon. so as stated above, you will see mention & exploration of that here. if i catch anyone being judgemental or rude about this, i will block. though the magic she uses is obviously based in fiction, witchcraft is a very real, and very valid practice. i'm a casual witch myself, & i will not tolerate any bullshit on the matter.
clarification. to multis: please try to specify a muse when sending things. i understand forgetting sometimes, but if i don't know which character of yours to write a response for, answering will be difficult.
shipping. shipping is not the meant to be the main focus of this blog, but of course it can & probably will happen. iโm open to almost all sorts. however there must be chemistry & i will not be forced to ship.ย note: asking me about a ship/dynamic ship is not force shipping to me. so feel free to come talk to me about it. assuming a ship without speaking to me first. however, is a different matter do not to that.
if we are mutuals, you are free to: turn ask responses into threads, send me plot ideas or things that remind you of out muses, or message me at any point. you're not annoying me. i promise.
content. due to some of the source material associated with raven's character and origins , there may be mention & discussion of mature/dark themes. everything will be tagged appropriately.
writing no-go's: physical abuse, ( this has happened to raven canonically, but i don't feel comfortable with writing active violence ) though i may mention it vaguely in past tense, as well as other things like toxicity or emotional neglect/abuse. i will not bring this up without talking to my writing partner first/if it's a trigger for you. i will not write anything involving heavy drug use, heavy depiction of suicide or suicidal thoughts / idealization , romanticized cheating or, frankly, cheating plots in general. do not come to me with torture plots or plots that have to do with needless gore, either. if a little gore makes sense for the story, that's one thing, but otherwise, i don't want to write it.
on that note: let's talk briefly about raven's father, trigon. if you know anything about him, then you know that he's the furthest thing from a great parent. in fact, he's one of dc's worst characters. he cares about raven to an extent, but he's also manipulative and cruel. their dynamic is not healthy, & you will never hear me say that he's a good father. any mention of trigon here will be specifically because i'm either a. talking about the complexity of their relationship, b. making fun of him to make myself feel better, or c. pointing out how much he sucks.
another thing that should be noted is that raven is, by nature, extremely powerful. she is a witch, and the daughter of a demon. she is also empathic and is not easily killed. she dies not have a whole lot of weaknesses. however, a big weakness for her is strong emotion. whether that be happy/sad/fear/rage etc etc. if she feels too much at once, this has the potential t throw her & her powers off balance. your muse will not know about this unless they are already close with her ( ie. one of the titans, justice league etc etc. ) i will not water her down.
smut. i am nearing my thirties, so sexual situations may appear on this blog. any sexual content written here will be put under read more and will only happen between muses and muns twenty-five and above. ( however, there may be points where i decide not to use it. this is usually a case by case basis. ) just because i decide to use read more, doesn't mean that my partner needs to. and this next thing should go without saying but i will not, under any circumstance, write anything sexual with underage muns or muses.
what i won't write regarding smut: i'm not into p.egging or heavy b.dsm. ( light bondage/playful restraint between muses is fine, for example, but not much beyond that at the moment. ) and personally i don't find the idea of degrading language/terms sexy ( i.e words like slut / etc etc ) & will lean more into praise instead. please do not attempt to change my mind on this, or force me to write sexual themes that i am not comfortable with. if you try, it's an instant block.
smut threads: i enjoy them, but unless i have high muse, threads & asks of a sexy nature will be answered on sundays. further, raven is not here for smut exclusively. so if you only want that, then this is the wrong blog for you.
smut and shipping: i would greatly prefer it if we had an established dynamic first before writing anything sexual. makes it easier on my part.on that note:some of my muses are into roleplay in the bedroom, but i will not write any morally questionable / gross scenarios. ( such as daddy kink, or teacher/student related topics. )
activity. it has the potential to be sporadic & semi-low due to real life obligations. i will not always be here. please understand this.ย
