yo how do you find abandoned buildings and shit??? do you look em up or do you just wander around until you find sum?

I got into urbex and stuff over friends, so I know many locations from people that also go exploring. but there are also maps like zuniz.com where you can find spots or sometimes Reddit is useful. My area is just really dead in general so I got a lot of abandoned spots that also have no security or aren’t barricaded, imo getting in teh buildings is usually harder than just finding them

There are websites like uer.ca (which I love) and apps like Abandoned World but honestly those dont have that many locations and the ones they do are more popular/well known. The best way I’ve found to find locations is just by taking note of abandoned-looking places I see as I’m driving around. I try to note the address, name of the building, or general area. What street it’s on and ~what number, and later I’ve found some on Google Maps and pinpointed the address like that. It’s helped me find way more locations that I would ever have found through Urbex databases.

But Jesus Christ sometimes I understand why people turn to AI to answer questions because it feels like every time I look anything up every article I open is wall to wall ads and pop ups and “SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER” and the articles themselves go on and on and on and on about unrelated questions and paragraphs on paragraphs of useless background information without ever actually answering the question. And I also have to worry about if the article itself is AI generated or otherwise comes from an unreliable source, and honestly sometimes I REALLY wish there was a place to go to get actual reliable fucking answers that wasn’t the water-guzzling slop bullshit surveillance machine
