Endless winter

I used to dream up these big wild adventures

New places, new faces, new romances, new chances to be reborn

I'd never settle for less than being wild and free and tasting the sweetest wine

I was going to taste the world, in all of its sweet, salty, bitterness

Dance in the rains of different cities and throw my hair to the winds of a foreign country

Rent a small flat for a few months to soak up all that the places had to offer

Before moving off again

But here

Here I am

Stuck

I've given up all my dreams of grand adventure and great romance

I taste nothing but bitterness and regret

A thing I love, and hate, grows inside my belly

And all I feel

Loneliness crashes in like waves

It knocks me down and runs away with me

Making it hard to see straight, hard to breathe, hard to live

It makes me watch them leave over and over again

There's an insanity to loneliness and I can feel myself starting to slip

I start to suffocate and I can taste the salt of the sea in my tears

I feel like I am dreaming, watching all these faces disappear so quickly

I am screaming but no one can hear me

And when the storm finally passes

And these screams subside
