It's for my bachelor's and I need 30 answers minimum by tomorrow morning. 50 would be optimal. I have so few right now that I'm seriously scared I won't reach that goal.

My current goal is to get What It Sounds Like to be my greatest translation yet (which admittedly isn't the highest bar)

An idea that has been plaguing me basically since I watched Kpop Demon Hunters: Multiple trios. Okay, okay, let me explain. Each generation three more people are chosen to become demon huntresses. They bear a Mark of the Huntress each, and appear in different countries. So at first there are just the three original ones, then next generation there are six, etc. By the time Huntr/x comes around, they are the 10th band to exist in this generation. There is a band singing in Slavic languages (multiple), there is a Chinese group, a Japanese group, there is a group right in the centre of Africa, there is one in US, there's one in South America (maybe in Brazil?), there is a German group, there is a UK group, there might be even a Norwegian group! Point is: they're all over the world and working on keeping the Honmoon healthy. And then there's Mao. A mysterious figure who keeps helping the huntresses from the shadows. Organising concerts for the new bands, helping them find their managers, things like that. When asked why, she shows her own Mark of a Huntress and you can tell she's smiling under her cowl. Problem: No one's ever seen her fully, no one ever talked to her for more than a few minutes at a time, and nearly everyone's sure she's at least as old as the mentors of their mentors, yet moves gracefully, like she's middle-aged at most. Of course whispers start that she's a demon, but how could she be a demon when she bears the Mark? Maybe it's an illusion! Oh wait, the Mark literally repels demons when shown off. Uhhhhhhh....? In all seriousness though, thank you for the ask. Qingling is my baby.

So! Some key things about Qingling:

· it is 19 now, started working in the palace around 2 years ago.

· it is a master of all things paper

· that does mean it controls all letters that go from and to the palace.

· that also means it is a record keeper!

· Qingling also should be responsible for hiring folks but uh, Zuko does it instead. he's paranoid sue him.

· Qingling is an earthbender, coming from a mixed family!

· it is a powerful earthbender, capable of keeping things in its control without much thought. that's how its 'necklace' works!! Qingling just bends it to stick to its skin!!

(why it bothers with it is connected to a rule placed by Zuko, but I'll talk about this sometime else)

· it cannot do many things Toph can though, which frustrates the living dung out of it. Toph is smug about that.

· another thing is: it feels like a part of the Fire Nation, as it was born in it and grew up in it. that means among other things that Qingling wears red-black-gold colour scheme clothes, and avoids greens like fire, or, I guess like earth (heh)

· Qingling spars with Zuko regularly. sometimes in front of would-be assassins. just to confuse them.

· it also confused Aang the first time he saw it because… well. it isn't everyday you see The Fire Lord fighting his Servant.

· Qingling has known Qingling is not boy or girl for a while and wasn't really accepted for it for a long time but then Zuko asked people to advertise he'll hire anyone even with massive oddities and Qingling was like "that's my chance." and applied. Zuko didn't even blink when Qingling told him to refer to Qingling only by name, and so it did its best while working for him which ended up with it being promoted higher and higher eventually replacing the head record keeper, whom Zuko didn't like so it was a win-win for everyone (but the old record keeper)

· if I was to label Qingling with modern labels it would be genderqueer but I doubt anything besides gay, bi and trans has been explored in this universe (I'm not saying those states don't exist, just that they don't have names to it)

· speaking of queerness, Qingling is also unspecified queer sexually! Qingling is attracted to those it is attracted to. try to quantinise and label that!

· Qingling is also autistic as fuck. I based it on myself but turned up to eleven. it is blunt, doesn't get some social cues but knows other ones. follows rules to the T and loves routines + gets mildly distressed when they're broken.

· I was thinking of giving it neopronouns and ADHD and several other things but I decided against it. I did give it viltigo though!!

· Qingling's hair is treated with copious amounts of sun (which it calls greening. cuz. yk. plants love sun.) and salt + lemon juice mixture! it makes the hair lighter in colour and after years of treatment it is its famous in the palace shade of dirty blond.

· it does make Qingling stand out in crowds, as when you think about it light-coloured hair is rare in-universe which I find cool.

Yes, thanks for asking, I should be asleep. Alas, I am not. Here, have a polycule chart I made while reevaluating stuff.

The ages in the brackets are as they are at the beginning of the series. It will be a year or two later before the polycule forms, aside from Mai and Zuko being together, and Aang and Katara being together. Toph and Zuko are qpp as mentioned in previous post.

I might make Suki (ignore the double 'k' in the screenshot) and Ty Lee an established pair. Would add onto the angst later.

So say what you want about my posting schedule (it's horrendous and nonexistent, which shouldn't be possible because how can it be anything if it doesn't exist?) but when I get an idea I usually at least start writing it.

So, I posted two fics a few hours ago, "To Reunite in Less Than Perfect Conditions" and "Qingling's Tale". They're both post-A:TLA fics, set two years after the book 3 finale and there's more to come.
