So, I noticed Aang's Team Avatar has a vacancy for "professional agitator" in their ranks, so the Arcane crowd knows what ATLA-Haze's function is going to be. She's going to be Team Avatar's Mythmaker. (For the new followers, because there are 50 of you joining in the last three days alone and the dopamine is spiking a little, but I noticed that a lot of Avatar fans are also Arcane fans, so here's a little context: Haze is the Zaunite OC I designed for a S2 rewrite because the aired version left me underwhelmed. My girl's from a homebrew Zaunite district and initially Silco's Mythmaker, but eventually defects to the Firelights to serve as their Mythmaker when Silco keeps proving he's utterly incapable of leading a resistance and liberation movement.)
ATLA-Haze (yet to be renamed for the new setting) has so much work to do. Just think about how the White Lotus retook Ba Sing Se in the, from a civilian perspective, most traumatizing way possible, and I can't help but picture our girl in the War Room listening to the plan and eventually slowly raising her hand, "Ehm, Grandmasters, I notice that your strategy for demonstrating that you are restoring Earth Kingdom sovereignty over Ba Sing Se opens with the Dragon of the West setting the skyline on fire. Yeah, quick question: Are we sure? Do we have no other face to lead the charge? What about the King of Omashu? Who resisted Fire Nation conquest for a century? And took his city back in roughly ten minutes during the eclipse? While trapped in a coffin? No? … Are we sure, though? Grandmasters? Grandmasters, please…?"
